So Im a big UFC fan, Dreamcast/PS2 games were trash but I liked them at the time for it being video game MMA. I played the 360/PS3 games and loved them, the graphics have come a long way, the grappling system is fun, and its just sweet to stiffen a dude up with a well placed punch. I just purchased UFC 3 as my first UFC game this gen and although I haven't spent time with it yet, I think its as much fun as an MMA game can be given how nuanced and unstructured real MMA fights are.

So is Celeste an extremely difficult game? Looks interesting and has great reviews. I am just not very good at 2D platformers.

Donut County isn't bad. It is reverse Katamari, like people already know.

The story is quirky and above average. The levels themselves seem much easier and much smaller than Katamari. The controls definitely feel like they're designed for touch screen first and foremost.

I don't know. I feel like maybe I should have waited for half off. The iOS version is only $4.99, so I feel like I'm paying a huge premium for something they didn't even bother adapting fully for console.

People see that email?

Any PS3 or PS Vita Monthly Games downloaded or previously added to your Download List prior to March 8, 2019, will still remain playable for as long as you remain a PlayStation Plus member.

That better mean that if I lapse and rejoin, those games are still available after I rejoin.  It's not explicitly stated that we will keep access to any games gotten as a PS+ member at any point that we are a member.

It has to be that way but something about the wording bothers me.  I know some of us intentionally or accidentally lapse with PS+.  We better not lose access to previous free games.

I don't think they could have worded it any better. They aren't going to cover that scenario in that email because knowing how the system works there's no way we don't regain access if we rejoin and they're rightfully assuming we would know something so obvious.

Bury Me, My Love is fantastic, but idk how it'll be on the Switch. Like, it's so built for a phone because you're using a phone in the game, you're getting text alerts, I mean there are options to speed time up, but part of the fun of that game is in the form.

I rejoined PS+ last month after not having it for two years. Lo and behold, PS3 and PSP games that I had previously claimed as PS+ games back in the day were back in my download list. So I think you will be OK.

Lo and behold today may not mean lo and behold come March. The logical conclusion is that it should work like it does today, even after the PS3 / Vita support ends.

I am sure that is what everyone is indicating to; but, I'd be skeptical about assuming something like that considering how many companies inadvertently screw their customers over knowingly or unknowingly especially when a significant change is being made to the subscription service.

one would think but you never know. It is possible the key that makes them appear in the download list when you buy plus could be removed so even though they are in the download list you cannot access them. Just a hypothetical.

No, they are there to download. Made me angry because I had planned to buy some of them when they went on sale just in case the PS3/Vita stores get taken down someday. Now I can't until my Plus subscription lapses again. But at least I can play online multiplayer on my PS4 again.

Don't forget those Sony made those PS Mobile games that we BOUGHT be gone if we delete them off our devices.  That is still the case isn't it?

Yes, today, if we don't renew PS+ and then renew, the PS3/Vita games will again be accessible.

I just want Sony to clarify that they won't un-check the box that says we "bought" these games as soon as we don't renew PS+.

The difference is that those PS Mobile games relied on an external OS, versus the native PS OS, so if they weren't doing well, they probably weren't worth the extra effort to keep going. I don't recall there being any PS3 or Vita games that were pulled and were unable to be redownloaded whenever you needed them.

Going back to games being removed and still being able to be downloaded, Lawbreakers is one that you cannot download.  I got a digital code for it and had it installed on my PS4.  Deleted it the other day since it is fucking useless, and just out of curiosity I went and checked my Library, to which I noticed it was gone.  My assumption is if servers get closed for games, they are just delisted from the PSN store and cannot ever be downloaded again.

Waste of fucking $30 right there.  Smh

Also, anyone have an opinion on Earth Defense Force 5?  Game looks like a hot turd but it is getting pretty solid reviews and I cannot figure out why lol

Returning to MHW would be a mixed bag for me: I liked the game, but I had my fill and I know what to expect now. Unless the game changed drastically, which it wouldn't, I'd expect there to be just a new grind with reskinned monsters. Meh.

Destiny and then Destiny 2
Haha, I do own Destiny 2 due to PS Plus. But I don't have much interest in doing online raids with other people, which I think is what this game is about? Unless there's a campaign(?), these games end up being too much a time suck that I don't want to get into.

You can play destiny solo and enjoy all of the content except raids. Other parts have matchmaking and will get you a team. As a big destiny fan who has never done a raid I still enjoy it enough to come back to it almost daily.

Some games can get away with being rough around the edges on presentation because they just play that damn good. This is that type of game.

Just to piggyback some more on what others have posted already, the EDF series knows what it's doing. It looks bad and has campy dialogue because that's what it's going for. It rates highly because it's fun. There's no thought required, no underlying tone or message it's trying to get across. You play it to play it and is the pure equivocation of what a game was always supposed to be; for fun.

You shut your face!

I imported the JP version since they didn't announce a Western release for a looooong time. It's like EDF 4.1 with slightly sharper graphics. Same campiness. If you actually don't know anything about EDF, it's like playing a B-movie. If that idea doesn't appeal to you, then skip.

Edit: Oh, I forgot about the new frog enemies. You can shoot their limbs off. You shoot their legs off, and they become like turrets. It's... weird, but right up EDF's alley.

Damn I might have to pick it up now. Plus it looks like it is only digital here in the US. Makes it even easier.
Oh, it's also very unbalanced for solo play, especially at harder difficulties. Definitely play with at least one other person. It does have split screen, so there's that.

I know that they hugely popular in Japan, which makes sense considering the appeal of Godzilla. I think of it as the Sci fi version of Dynasty Warriors (Musou games), which the Japanese line as well. My first game was on Vita. That game was a grind and I thought why did I play this. After watching 5's trailer, I've been thinking, maybe my 8 yr old son wants to play this with me?

So, last year the 5-week Holiday Sale kicked off on Tuesday, December 12. Wondering if that will be the case again this year.

Both dreading and anticipating it at the same time. (I'm sure Frisky is too.)

I recently got a PS4 after never owning a previous Playstation. I have played and beaten Spider-Man, The Last of Us Remastered, and Journey.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to tackle next? I'm interested in Uncharted but maybe I should take a break from Naughty Dog.

I own:

Uncharted Collection
Uncharted 4

Horizon: Zero Dawn Complete

Until Dawn

Ratchet and Clank

God of War III Remastered (never played 1 or 2)

Hotline Miami Collection

I also expect to buy RDR2 somewhat soon.
shills steven universe save the light.

fun little game alot like paper mario but with rts combat.

I don't know what everyone is all up in arms about. I'm pissed that I finally bought Nier Automata and its DLC last month and now they announce the fucking GOTY version. Always, always, always.
