Really wanna get Blaz, but I really need a bigger memory card to accommodate it
You can get it anyway and worry about having space for it later.

Really wish they would add/update the Miami Dolphins dynamic theme with the new logo/colors. Probably wont ever happen though.
Really wanna get Blaz, but I really need a bigger memory card to accommodate it
got it on my 8gb card but will delete it next week to make room for class of heroes 2....

i doubt i will play it that much 3.3 gig is way too much room to hold up

Was considering selling my physical copy, but didnt realize it was that big. All these updates that they force you to do in some vita games kills card space. I remember PSABR had a 600MB and 800MB one. (Not sure if they combine together to save space, but still damn huge).

They do usually replace the old one with the new one. But yeah, still huge.

seems they are putting a lot of the dlcs in these updates. noticed it today with soul sacrifice as well. since the dlc was only 100kb each, but the update was 61mb.

after checking my download list. emmett and kat for psasbr are also 100kb each.

That's the way that a lot of developers have been doing it for years.

i never noticed it until i started getting vita dlc. only 360/ps3 dlc i ever downloaded that was only 100kb was the stuff from gt5 xl. not counting preorder or collector's edition items. though, i haven't bought as many dlcs for ps3 as i have for 360.

I appreciate the completeness of the OP but can you please put Avatars, past deals and other non urgent things in spoilers or better yet links so that the page does not lag and/or is easy to sort through?

Damn I was surprised by that 3.3GB... Had to delete some older games off my Vita >.< Worth it. I love Blazblue, and no way I'm not downloading it :D

Can I switch between my 8GB card and my 16GB card for PS Plus downloads? I keep forgetting how Sony handles the multiple memory cards thing.

Impressed by how great BlazBlue looks on the Vita screen. Controlling the game is a bit more difficult than on the Dual Shock obviously but the Vita d-pad works admirably well.

On a side note, what's this imaginstruments thing? Is it worth checking out to fiddle around with if you don't have much of an interest in composing music?
On a side note, what's this imaginstruments thing? Is it worth checking out to fiddle around with if you don't have much of an interest in composing music?
Not really. It's simply an app where you can mess around and try to create music. If it's not your type of thing, you'll barely spend a minute on it before getting bored like me.

Blazblue

30 mins to download it

10 mins to play it and delete it off system

now another 30 mins to an hour redownloading all the junk i deleted just to play it LOL

Whoa, why would you ever delete BlazBlue? It was one of the first games I picked up retail when I got my Vita.

Also, I never understood how folks are getting such decent download speeds on their Vita. It's been 8 hours and still not done. And no, it's not my connection as every other device I have download at normal speed.

That's what I'm hoping doesn't happen for me haha. I've never been into fighting games, but I'll try anything for free. Maybe this will be the one I actually like. I just need to beat a digital vita title to make room to try it. Probably should go through Uncharted finally to make room.

@dranakin You're not alone. My ps3 and everything else downloads much faster than my vita. I usually just download larger games to my ps3 then transfer things to my vita to save time.

We know one of the deals for PS+ in June:
Independent games publisher and developer Wired Productions is announcing that Let’s Fish! Hooked On, the first full-scale fishing game for the PS ® Vita will be soon arriving onto PlayStation®Plus in Europe, Australia and the US for a period of one month, with a 50% discount for all those who are subscribers.

Leo Zullo, managing director of Wired Productions said “The timing is right to move onto PlayStation®Plus. We didn’t want to discount too early and disrespect the customers that had already bought the game. We believe that the niche anime and fishing style of the game which includes loads of hours of game play, is exactly the fun packed value proposition that Vita fans and Plus subscribers alike absolutely relish.”

PlayStation®Plus subscribers can take advantage of this generous discount between the 5th June – 3rd July for the Pal Territories and the 4th June - 2nd July for the US. Those who are not signed up can still purchase the game at full price, and the title will go back to its original retail price for everyone at the end of the promotion.

Developed by SIMS, who are the team behind arguably the all time greatest fishing game SEGA Bass Fishing, make Let’s Fish! Hooked On a fast paced arcade style game, to make a patient sport into a fun and challenging experience.

The quick action and intuitive arcade like game play, comes with a full story which includes four different anime-style characters each with their own story and unique abilities.

With online rankings and trophies to collect as well, Let’s Fish! Hooked On really puts the fun back into fishing, and offers a unique spin for the handheld gaming community.

To find out more about how you can take advantage of the discount, go to the PlayStation®Plus store online or visit the official Let’s Fish! Hooked On website www.LetsFishGame.com
50% off would make it $9.99.

Owning my Vita makes me 100X more likely to pick up a PS4. Would be awesome especially for when the girifriend is watching TV and I can be playing PS4 games on my Vita via remote play

Too bad they couldnt get this to work for PS3, would help with my backlog :)

Hmmm...game seems interesting, but a 41 on Metacritic makes me hesitant, especially for $10. The fact that there is no demo pretty much seals the deal that I won't buy it.

I'm actually shocked that Sony doesn't require demos for all digital games on the Vita store.

I'm actually shocked that you're actually shocked. Hell, Sony didn't even make a demo of Journey available at launch when they knew that game was going to be epic. There are plenty of XBLA games that come simultaneously to the PSN without a demo for whatever reason. I don't know why Sony isn't more insistent on providing game demos, but for whatever reason it's not important or even standard practice to them.

The reason I'm shocked is because XBLA has required demos of every game since forever, and I assumed that Sony would start making demos required for every game with their Vita. I assume every PS4 digital game will have a demo, but maybe I'm giving Sony too much credit.

There's no doubt they lose out on money by not having demos. I'd love to try Draw Slasher this week and see if it's worth $4 to me. I may have only had about a 20% chance of buying it after trying the demo because I'm not that interested in it, but maybe the demo could have sold me. Without the demo, it shoots my chances of buying it down to 0%. Ditto with that fishing game in a couple weeks.

I second what that guy did. The game isn't worth the space it consumes. Any PS+ user who is a casual fan of fighting games can get just as much enjoyment out of Tekken 6 and the Soul Calibur game recently offered.

Though doesn't matter since I can't get PS+ on my Vita anyways (PLEASE allow sub accounts to turn into master accounts with the PS4, Sony)....

I'll bet there are a lot of people who will pay $5, $10, or even $15 to buy a game without a demo even if they are only mildly interested since it feels like a fairly insignificant purchase. I know demos have turned me off of games that I might have just gone ahead and purchased to try it out had there not been a demo. Perhaps Sony is working this angle.

To put it in perspective, people are willing to pre-order $60 games that don't have demos. Of course, most people are rarely "on the fence" for a pre-order title, so I understand there is a difference.

Also, I sometimes prefer buying a game (as long as it's cheap enough) instead of trying a demo anyway since I feel like a demo might not give enough information or depth for me to truly make an informed decision. Some games are not what they seem on the surface and if I have put money into it, I feel like I will work harder to truly try out and appreciate a game. Of course, there are many duds out there, so that process can get expensive without some other filter such as recommendations and reviews ahead of time.

I will be in heaven if remote play is used in all PS4 games, but how will this work for games that heavily use R2,L2, R3 and L3? Seems like trying to map all of those to the rear touchpad would be too annoying for developers and players.

They can use the rear touchpad for any other buttons. The news isn't really new since they've said that all non-Move/Eye camera exclusive games require the developers to submit Vita control schemes for Remote Play.

I actually do remember them announcing something about required remote play from that initial reveal, but my brain chose not to remember since I didn't have a Vita at the time. I am just wondering whether using the rear touch pad to map buttons is viable for all games. If all 4 absent buttons are mapped to the rear, I could see people accidentally tapping the "wrong" section pretty easily (and maybe throwing a grenade when you meant to melee in CoD). Just a thought..

The reason why many games don't have demos on PSN is because developers have to foot the bandwidth cost there, which isn't the case for XBL. The last known figure is 18 cents per gigabyte. So say you put out a 1 GB demo and 100,000 people download it - you've just spent $18,000 before you see a single sale.

I would strongly disagree to your statement that not creating demos leaves money on the table for developers. The bandwidth cost alone is not insignificant, nevermind the cost of creating a demo. I think a lot of people don't value demos that much these days because renting games from Gamefly or Redbox is pretty cheap; with demos, you'd have to download them, make the space for them on your hard drive, delete them, and if you do get the full game, you have to replay those levels over. In your anecdote, you said a demo might make you 20% interested in a game - that's not enough for PSN games. Even on XBL where every game has a demo and developers don't pay for bandwidth, the conversion rate from demo to full game purchase is probably just around there.
