A little OT, but since it's been linked a few times in this thread, seems ok to ask: is howlongtobeat.com screwed up for anyone else? Since yesterday I either haven't been able to load the site, or all the HTML is screwed up and everything looks like it's loading on a flipphone. Really annoying:bomb:

I bought Atelier Totori...but I guess so did a bunch of other people. How does a game that gets a complete surprise release end up being the number one selling Vita game? Literally no one knew that game was coming out until the night before it was announced.

So true, I didn't even knew about the game until I bought it on a whim. I am enjoying it quite nicely.
It's an awesome game. I'm really enjoying it. I get the platforming of Uncharted, survival decisions with limited ammo and resources and a cool story. Kind of feels like a prequel for what I hope Last of Us will be. I'd recommend it.
Damn, where were you when this game was on sale? The setting intrigued me but the reviews scared me away from the game. Every video I've seen for the game seems to indicate that the only way to dispatch bandits is to lull them into a false sense of security then hack them with your machete, or kick them off ledges with an empty gun.

Hmm, if it wasn't mentioned in the PS+ update, then it sounds like the Spring Sale won't have an additional discount for PS+ members. Oh well, still looking forward to seeing what'll be on sale.

Also, the poll asking about the favorite content this week mentions something about a Borderlands sale and a Guacamelee launch week discount. Wonder if those got left out or something.

I'm glad to see more PS1 imports coming in, though the two I'd be interested in are above my Japanese level right now... The new Favorite Dear game looks like a dating sim/RPG hybrid, like the other Favorite Dear game we received a few weeks ago (I bought that one but can't understand enough of it to really enjoy it yet). Evergreen Avenue looks like a visual novel.

Here's a little trailer for Evergreen Avenue. It doesn't show any gameplay or anything very interesting, but it's practically the only video on YouTube about the game:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBGU3jvhhHg

Nico Nico Video (Japan's equivalent of YouTube) has many more videos, including actual gameplay videos, but you'll need to log in in order to see them:

I'm pretty sure the Spring Fever sale will be 30%/50% for PS+, the promos are probably just being worked on by different people and they didn't communicate very well. I can't imagine that they wouldn't have PS+ involved in the Spring Fever sale.
So true, I didn't even knew about the game until I bought it on a whim. I am enjoying it quite nicely.
It didn't exactly have many new releases as competition. So while it's #1 I don't think that necessarily tells us if it sold decently or not.
Spring Fever isn't just a series of sales, but a promotion for new releases. That's probably where Guacamelee's discount will be mentioned.
Oh that's right. I forgot what Spring Fever was. Thank you!

Also, I just realized that you/PS Blogcast mentioned that Anarchy Reigns Add-On are coming, I sure hope that means the Bayonetta extra character is coming. The prices for those on ebay are pretty high, and I just got the game from a Gamefly Sale, so I'd love to get Bayonetta for the right price!

Sweet, I'll likely pick up Zombie Driver, and Guacamelee depending on the discount.

I just watched the Labyrinth Legends trailer and it looks pretty awesome.

Probably a combination of the game's fans being internet savvy enough to catch the surprise release and the fact that it's the only place you can get the game. These games have a certain amount of sure fire fans who will buy the game day 1, I guess that boosted it as well.
Interesting about not being able to watch anything through the app itself, I was afraid that would be the case. I'm guessing that the ability to view the free flicks will only last for the duration of the 14 day trial at most.

I know that EPIX has a similar setup with roku devices; you can only watch through the roku app for a 14 day trial period if you don't have a partnered television service.

If it doesn't work out, I'll be fine with Netflix. Not like I have enough time to get to all the content that I want to watch on there anyway!
Both Netflix and Amazon Prime have a deal with Epix to get their movies. They lag a bit behind the Epix release schedule, but the movies tend to find their way to both. It's why The Hunger Games recently showed up on those services. If you have one or both there's little reason to subscribe to Epix.

This wasn't just directed at you, but after all the talk I thought I'd throw it out there for anyone who was considering subscribing.

I already subscribe to Epix thanks to some movie package I get with my Cox cable, but they won't allow me to access streaming Epix HD on my PS3 or Roku -- only on an iPad or Android. I seriously don't understand that at all.

You’re right! For the sake of this post, I’ve removed them from the voting options, but yes, Guacamelle! will feature a Plus discount. We have more news on this and other discounted content that we’ll get up in a separate post; which will have great benefits for Plus members, in addition to being applicable for the wider PlayStation audience as well. Stay tuned!

But for now, going to keep the voting on the stuff featured above.

Morgan said in the comments Guacamelee discount will be in the Spring Fever post and that there will be great PS+ features in that post.

I am not exactly sure why a surprise release would do so well but I'm certainly all for the game doing well. Also picked it up when it was out and having a great deal of fun with the game.

No offense taken at all, more information on behalf of the CAG community is always a good thing. As you noted, I feel like I'll be fine with Netflix. I've been rolling with them for a while now and see no reason to change that but I certainly wouldn't turn down free access as part of PS+ either.

It might be some lame part of their licensing agreement, I know that Cox subscribers can't access Epix on the Xbox 360 either.

They can catch more spur-of-the-moment interest that turns into a temporary boost in sales, but they lose the crowd that likes to plan out their purchases that equals a more long-term sales success. I'd be surprised if it's on the list in April.
Anyone here played Zombie Driver and have thoughts on it? Thanks!
From the 30 or so minutes I've played, meh.
From the 30 or so minutes I've played, meh.
My sentiments as well. To me it was worth the dollar or two I spent on it for my tablet, but that was it.

It's interesting that 12 of the Top 20 PS3 games were retail games. Also note that Atelier Totori Plus, which had no marketing or announcements that it was even being localized for North America, is the top Vita game of the month.
I didn't even know that game is for the Vita, I thought it's a PS3 game. So, there's no physical copy of Atelier Totori Plus for Vita right? I don't mind downloads, but I need a bigger memory card.

Spring Sale details post may not happen until tomorrow according to Morgan in the Plus-post's comments section.

But no, the Vita version is digital only.

They didn't even tell anybody that they were localizing it for North America until it came out, so that's not the type of business plan that involves physical copies.

I'm actually really excited to try Labirinth Legends. Seems like a quick, easy to play game, and that's what I've really been digging lately. For whatever reason, I'm reluctant to start anything lately that I expect will last me more than 10 hours. Really just trying to trim down my backlog, as I've been making a lot of progress lately;)

Guacamelee is said to last 5-8 hours so that may be a good fit for you.

Same here.

I might even buy Zombie Driver HD. The demo was decent enough to pay $5.99 I think. Some mindless fun Especially since I have that $10 credit coming on the 12th.

yeah, looks pretty good, though buying more games wouldn't really be helping:lol:I'll see how good the PS+ sale is though, as I have been rather interested in it:D

I'm very glad it did so week, in spite of being given no push or marketing. I hope this proves to devs that us Americans enjoy our RPGs.
Anyone here played Zombie Driver and have thoughts on it? Thanks!
I hated the damn game. Was fun for like 30 minutes then it quickly loses interest. The night levels are annoying. I had to struggle to complete the damn thing. Takes about 10-15 hours to complete if anyone cares about that. If i could I would just take my $5 back but thats just my opinion.
Thanks, guys, you talked me out of getting Zombie Driver.
You could always try the demo and if you think that is your idea of fun for about ten hours then you will probably enjoy the whole thing. You run over zombies on the way to pick up survivors for most of the game and drop them off to safety. Its almost like playing taxi.

Im gonna look into Guacamelee since I have not heard to much about that game. Whenever I am on my VITA im still sucked into Dead or Alive +. Its so good on the handheld and hard as well. Im starting to get a mini backlog for my VITA. Still have Army Corps of Hell, Assassins Creed, and Uncharted to beat.

Guacamelee looks good, if it has a plus discount it'll be day 1 for me. Plus it has a platinum if your into trophy hunting (Apparently an easy one too)

Not much else to buy for Vita at the moment for me.

It does. How much I don't know, but Morgan confirmed there was one.

Try the demo if you want to really check it out. I didnt think it was bad for $5.99 but maybe my memory is fuzzy. I might have to replay it a bit before paying for it too since no one has said anything good yet.
It does. How much I don't know, but Morgan confirmed there was one.

The poll says there’s a Borderlands sale and a Guacamelee launch week discount, but I don’t see any of that in the post :x
Otherwise, I’m looking forward to getting Labyrinth Legends :)

Stay tuned!

Ah sweet, thanks. Definite day one then
Anyone here played Zombie Driver and have thoughts on it? Thanks!
I bought it on the 360 when it was on sale and wish I hadn't. It's a fun little demo, but the full game really doesn't add much to the formula besides new weapons and vehicles. It's far from terrible, but it's pretty forgettable as well.

2. The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct ?!
that is crazy. i am trying to play through it now for some free trophies but this game is so horrible. it doesnt help I went from bioshock infinite to this but, ugh. even how long to beat has 6ish hours and plat difficulty on ps3t.org is like 3/10 but ugh, im trying my hardest to not play blops and get this game done asap, but it is sooo horrible!
Hmm, if it wasn't mentioned in the PS+ update, then it sounds like the Spring Sale won't have an additional discount for PS+ members. Oh well, still looking forward to seeing what'll be on sale.

Which implies further ps+ discounts on the spring sale, though it's not said directly.
