There's a 30 minute 'play or pass' review on youtube that i'm 10 minutes into. the guy said he had the same feeling at first but that the game (Zombie Driver HD) really grew on him and he ended up loving it. If i remember correctly he said the campaign is alright, but it really comes into its own in the other modes.

Very interested in it, looks like my type of game.

Went ahead and picked up Blood Omen. Never played the first. I would have got Soul Reaver but think I'd rather have it on PC. Couldn't find Blood Omen for sale on PC unlike the others.

My thoughts exactly. I can wait for the three Legacy of Kain/Soul Reavers to go on sale altogether on Steam sometime in the future. However, that pack does not have Blood Omen.

The soul reaver trilogy was just on a steam sale a couple weeks ago.

For someone who never played them, would you recommend them? Is steam preferred vs psn?
i'm pretty disappointed blood omen can't be played Vita, 'cept remote play.
Did you try transferring it from a PS3 to the Vita because some games that are not listed on the Vita store can actually run on it if you do transfer it from the PS3.

EDIT- Nvm I see that its listed on the non-compatible list in the compatibility thread.

I just jumped on the PS+ 3 month deal plus 10 credit last month. I guess I haven't been paying as close to Steam deals lately and instead giving my PS3 more love.

Thanks for the heads up. If it went on sale in the past, it more than likely will come around again.
Ugh, I just spent $36 buying a ton of LBP/LBP2 DLC. I should have done this a couple weeks ago.
I actually did the same but only spent ~$10 on a few and it was the day before the $50 promo had started. I did not know they were going to do that before hand. I will admit though I got a Venom costume for sackboy and he looks cool now.

yeah...the list i should've checked before i bought it. :(

oh well, it's an action rpg so it's prob not too bad with lag over remote play.

No idea. I bought the pack on steam because it was cheap and looked cool, but it will probably sit in my backlog till I am retired in 30 years.
2. The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct ?!
that is crazy. i am trying to play through it now for some free trophies but this game is so horrible. it doesnt help I went from bioshock infinite to this but, ugh. even how long to beat has 6ish hours and plat difficulty on ps3t.org is like 3/10 but ugh, im trying my hardest to not play blops and get this game done asap, but it is sooo horrible!
Yeah I pegged that game as quick cash grab, licensed garbage from the moment I heard of it. It's too bad really, I'd like to believe that gaming has gotten past those days. Thanks for the verification though, I'll be sure to avoid it. There's way too many good, or even half way decent games out there I haven't played that I'd rather spend my time with.

Why would you ever think that?

I'm trying to remember what Spring Fever was last year. Was it just a series of sales or was it a "buy more, get more back" promotion? Did they have a bunch of new games for Apring Fever last year? These sales all blend together.

There are always going to be those sorts of games out there, though they're shrinking as the IP holders take some of them to iOS/Android to make quick money off of those people with a much longer shelf life.

The graphics may look slightly better but it would be about the same. Either way you'll want to play them with a controller most likely. The games are also on GOG and have gone on sale there if you want them on PC DRM-free.
There seems to be some right issues with the PC version of Blood Omen, so if haven't and are interested definetley get that on PSN.

Picked up both Blood Omen and Soul Reaver. Such a great series...have all the original games on disc. If any franchise deserves a reboot, it's this series. Awesome narrative and VO acting.

Just sales if I recall.
Please help me out here...

I purchased that game via cross buy (got both Vita and PS3 version for one price). First off, I can't find the add-on in the PSN store. Secondly, when I click on the links above, it says I don't have the unlock key.
Hmmm....I can't help you with your problem, but I can tell you that you didn't purchase Rocketbirds via cross-buy.

Spring Fever is a promotion where they release a new high-profile game each week, along with a couple small discounts.

Also, the info is up. Not overly exciting for me on the deals front, but the games look promising. Wish we would have gotten any of the other indie games free over Zombie Tycoon, but oh well...

Spring Fever

Spring Fever 2013:

Date Game Title Normal Price PS Plus Price
4/9 Guacamelee! $14.99 $11.99
4/16 Dragon Fantasy Book I $9.99 $7.99
4/23 Thomas Was Alone $9.99 $7.99
4/30 Zombie Tycoon 2 $9.99 Free

Franchise Sales:

4/9 – Borderlands
4/16 – Grand Theft Auto
4/23 – Resident Evil
4/30 – PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Heritage Sale – Includes PS All-Stars Game Sale and Game Sales for some of the big name characters in the game

Hmm, sounds like the PS All-Stars DLC characters (& maybe stages) will be on sale. Might pick up the bundle with Isaac (still find him a weird choice), Zeus, and the Medievil stage if it's discounted.

Guacamelee looks decent, but considering my backlog (especially with the XBLA reward stuff happening this month), I might wait for a future sale.

I would advise against that, since it comes free with GoW: A (no stage though). Might be cheaper / better to wait for GoW: A to drop.

underwhelmed with the sale. was expecting more of a 'vita anniversary' style sale, with a dozen or so games on sale each week. not 1 game a week on sale, plus some franchise sales. well, saves me money.

I think a lot of the commentors on the PS Blog were under the same impression as you, and are pretty disappointed. I don't think the PS Blog does a great job explaining what "Spring Fever" is because people think it's a big sales promotion, but it's not. I even forgot that it wasn't until Frisky reminded me.

For example, last year's Spring Fever featured the new releases of Journey, Rayman 3 HD, Closure, and Wheels of Destruction. It featured discounts on Call of Duty DLC, a Mortal Kombat sale, a Final Fantasy sale, and a Tom Clancy sale. Almost the exact same format as this year.

I enjoyed and completed Dragon Fantasy on iOS, but even so I could not recommend paying $8 for it. I think I got it for a buck and it's not exactly a game that is improved by the Vita's tactile controls or nice OLED screen.

On the other hand, I'm really looking forward to Guacamelee :)
Probably $39.99, maybe $29.99. I would hold out, probably will be free soon on plus. Following common pattern of past release added to PSN store, DLC present and upcoming.
Thanks for the advice. Thought this was a possibility. The wait continues...

Darn, only have GTA on 360, wish MS would do a GTA sale.

Either way, standard price thing for Guacamele, though I was somehow hoping for less than $10. Not a huge deal though, will definitely pick that one up for Vita tonight (and put my FF IX play on hold until I finish it) because I've been craving a solid Metroidvania game and it sounds like this is it!

EDIT: If I buy the game on my Vita I get it for PS3 too, I heard. Would I have to physically DL it from the PSN on my PS3, or is there a way to transfer the PS3 file from either my PC through the PSN store or my Vita?

I bought the Hot Shots Golf Complete when it was on uber sale for PS+ a while back (it was less than $10, but I can't remember the exact price). It'd good, except for the incredibly annoying character voices, which it doesn't seem possible to shut off. Makes me not want to play it. Is there an option to turn them off somewhere I'm missing?

Also I could swear GTAIV was on sale on Xbox just a short time ago. GoD and DLC.
Yes, it was one of many XBLA sales in recent months for GTA IV. The most recent was just a couple of weeks ago.
Golf-related sale happening.
It seems Hot Shots Golf is forever on sale. I just got the Vita version on sale a few weeks ago for under $10. It's good to have returning items on sale just in case people missed the sale. PSN needs to have a little more variety on sale and PS+.

I believe you would have to download it from your ps3. Vita won't allow you to download it, and PC just tells you to download it on your ps3.

That's a bummer, thanks for the info though. Guess I'll just play it on my Vita since I'm still having internet trouble with my PS3. Won't even DL a PSN Store update without disconnecting mid-download.

I never watched trailers of Guacamelee before, but I think I'm pretty sold on it. Good thing I spent $100 in the promo, I will get Guacamelee when the credit comes in :D

Haha I'm not sure if that's a cross-thread joke or not. GTA is literally the most common thing to go on sale on Xbox Live. It drops in price about 4 times a year.
