Had a chance to play a Sound Shapes demo at Target. Damn, wish I had picked it up when it was on sale a few months back. Definitely getting the next time around.

And on Demon's Souls, died at the Tower Knight boss in 1-2. Then, I died 5 more times trying to get back to it, twice by the dogs. Wish I knew you could spend souls to upgrade stats because I lost thousands when I died, thinking I had to bank them to buy equiptment.
sound shapes is amazing, one of my favorites in recent memory. I finally got the platinum last week (which IMO isn't to hard, but can't say much more), and want to replay it again if I get the chance. It's just so fun, and the new community picks really help you find some great levels. Totally worth it at any price, very highly recommended:applause:

You never need to buy equipment.
To anyone who has beaten Borderlands 2..
I made it up to the part where you are fighting through the wildlife preserve. I lost my save file when I got a new ps3. Is it worth picking up the game again. or was I too close to the end to get my $'s worth?
Absolutely. You're probably only about halfway through - especially if you count side missions. As someone already said, playing as a different character can make the game fresh, anyway. Also, the True/Ultimate Vault Hunter modes will still be there. Don't forget about DLC too. Such an awesome game.

And I just picked up B:AC and Serious Sam 3 for PC for $10. I have been trying to resist buying anything after I got PS+ a few months back, I already have a backlog of 100s of games on Steam. In this case no big loss, I rather play it on PS3 and try out the 3D.

Limbo I wouldn't mind playing again if I didn't have a number of other things to play. Never did do the speed run though...

There are a few items that if you want you need souls; basic and intermediate spells / miracles, early heater shield from boldwin, claymore from the dregling merchant, most of the rest of the stuff can be picked up off the ground in certain locations as you play. There are a wealth of souls that can be had clearing the first part of the Shrine of Storms a few times so don't lament the loss of those souls too much. If 1-2 is giving you trouble try one of the other worlds. That's kinda how it was intended to be played, first levels of each world are similar in difficulty, then there is a spike in difficulty in the second level of each of the worlds.

Soul Sacrifice demo up later today will include the 1st chapter of the game AND the saves will carry over to the full game! Man I wish more demos did the save carryover. And you get a cool golem summon just for trying the demo too. Time to make some room on my card. Hopefully its not over a gb.

I'm really looking forward to the demo and getting a bonus for playing is great. Hope it's good enough to keep my Newegg preorder for $29.99.

Same place and price I have mine preordered at! For me the demo has to tank pretty bad to cancel because I'm pretty pumped for this game. Time to hurry up and finish Persona 4 before the 30th.

A demo has to be really bad for me to cancel also. I have a lot of hope that this game will be fantastic.
What's the best price point for Soul Sacrifice? The $10 off preorder thing in newegg is over now isn't it?
Yeah it's over since that promotion was old. The best part was it was $10 off any pre-order $39.99. Newegg might offer a deal as it gets closer. They need to bring this promo back.

I haven't seen newegg due another $10 off pre-order bonus in a very long time. They won a lot of 3ds and vita pre-orders from me that way. Including 3 that aren't even out yet, which Soul Sacrifice is one.

If they brought it back at least once I'd load em up on handheld pre-orders again haha. Oh well.

I used the $10 thing to order SC 2:HotS but I wasn't sure if I wanted Soul Sacrifice. I've been doing some reading on it and it looks very promising. If I try the demo today and get sold, I wouldn't mind preordering a copy if I can find it for a sweet spot price.
They won my preorder too and then promptly lost it after Ragnarok Odyssey was not shipped a week after released, they failed to contact me or resolve the issue.
Thankfully I've never had any problems with newegg pre-orders or shipping and most even get there faster than they say. As long as you don't mind no release date delivery. Hopefully yours was just an isolated case.

But yeah that would put me off too if that happened to me. Here's to hoping my luck continues.

I've had good luck with Newegg and didn't have a 3DS at the time of this promotion. Now that I own one I would have gotten more games than just Vita. I think my only pre-orders left ate Soul Sacrifice and Tear Away. The only thing that was cancelled from them was Under Defeat HD collection since it was an Amazon exclusive.

Those who got invited to the referral contest, and those people who got referred should check their e-mails for their PSN money/Sony rewards points. Mine just came in. If you got referred by someone and didn't get an e-mail then you probably bought your Vita too early to participate in the contest.

A question on the Soul Sacrifice demo: you download the demo from PSN, enjoy it, and buy it physical retail. Aren't saves tied to bubbles? Meaning you have to keep the whole first level sitting on your memory card if you want to continue from your demo save on your physical copy?

Unless game demos use a completely different bubble than the full game, in which case, disregard my question.

If you have Plus, you can upload the save.

Looks like something I'd like even though it does look very linear. Will keep an eye on it.

i pre-ordered something like 20 games during the pre-order sales they were having. unfortunately, at the time i didn't have a vita so i missed out on games like Soul Sacrifice and ordered Dragon's Crown PS3 instead of the Vita version i'd now prefer.

They have completely mucked up around 3 of the orders, one of which was an extreme clusterduck of epic proportions (they orphaned the page for a game i pre-ordered and put up a new page for it, and then claimed the game was different, despite identical cover, console, publisher, etc and used their placeholder release date of something like 12/31/13 as 'proof' the version i ordered wasn't released yet). I'm very unsatisfied with their customer service. Yet i still have a bunch of stuff pre-ordered through them because the deals are so hot. But I switch the second I can when something comparable comes along.

Considering it requires both sticks to control both character I would imagine you could run into the problems if they don't do a really good job of having the camera auto-adjust for the best angle for both characters since I don't know how else you would control it.

Geez I didn't even realize it was only Tuesday evening. I somehow thought it was Wednesday already. Very long day at work
I'm looking forward it!
Never played either of the first two Sacred games, but the 3rd one is looking great. Just looking for some opinions on Citadel. I know it's supposed to be a prologue of sorts to the 3rd main game. Kinda interested.
Is the soldner deal ending soon, I want to buy a game but psn is down
No, it doesn't end until 4/30 at the earliest according to the most recent PS+ update post.

geez this is what i hate about sony. they always update the store whenever the hell they feel like it -_- its gonna be 7pm(est) soon and I'll have to go to work by that time. Even nintendo has a consistent update schedule
Did anyone actually play that? I remember downloading and installing that, then deleting it after needing the HD space.
They're decent party/adventure/puzzle games.

I got the first episode free then got the rest of the really cheap like a few dollars. They are fun puzzles in that series.

i played a lot of them with my wife. goofy murder (maaaaaaw-dur) mysteries... each with a pile of puzzles and clues. we'd switch off on each puzzle. maybe a little slow paced, but we had fun with it for a bit.

I did & its was enjoyable puzzle game. It slow at the beginning during the episode 1, but gets better at eps3. There's also a twist at the end.
