Im kinda with you.. I like Sony products in general, but the PS3 and the network in particular are a friggin mess. Sony seems to just LOVE to make its customers wait.... excessive patching, excessive d.load time.. done d.loading? Wait some more to install it now. Not to mention how slow the store and other crap are.

I actually just found out i cant have my PSN account on more than 2 systems.. WTF is that shit?! I have the family ps3 downstairs, my old fat that wont play disks anymore, and a newer slim i bought for the bedroom. I tried snagging something from PSN on the new system and was told i have to deactivate something to use it. What kinda bullshit is that? Why cant i use it if im just online to verify its me? I want to use all 3, especially the old fat since it cant play disks anyway. Not being able to play my digital games makes it worthless.

fuck you Sony, christ. I try to love you because your PS+ concept is cool and you have bette rsales than X box live, but you just keep fucking your customers over too much.

Sony changed it to 2 systems ages ago. Maybe instead of whining, actually pay attention sometime you might would have known that.

This is true. Guess Im the only one who doesnt care when the store updates. You guys must buy stuff every single day.

I will admit that I will probably try the Soul Sacrifice demo though when the store updates but no rush. Just want to see if I like it.

This week the complaints are really bad because a lot of people were waiting for the Soul Sacrifice demo. It's two weeks until the game releases though so still not sure why people are upset about waiting a little.

It's been that way since November 2011, they changed it to discourage 5 way gamesharing. There was a big fuss, but then everyone forgot about it pretty quickly. I'm guessing 98% of PS3 owners only have one system, so it didn't effect the majority of people's individual use. I'm sorta surprised you owned multiple PS3s and didn't know this (only because us nerds usually follow this stuff ;)) but there isn't any way around it, I'm afraid, short of deactivating a system every time you swap out.

To beg the question does not mean "to raise the question." (e.g. "It begs the question, why is he so dumb?") This is a common error of usage made by those who mistake the word "question" in the phrase to refer to a literal question. "Begging the question" is a form of logical fallacy in which a statement or claim is assumed to be true without evidence other than the statement or claim itself. When one begs the question, the initial assumption of a statement is treated as already proven without any logic to show why the statement is true in the first place.


A simple example would be "I think he is unattractive because he is ugly." The adjective "ugly" does not explain why the subject is "unattractive" -- they virtually amount to the same subjective meaning, and the proof is merely a restatement of the premise. The sentence has begged the question.

Bah, have a review copy of Dragon Fantasy I have to download but it wont let me activate it until the store updates.

I won't kick up a ridiculous fuss, but I do think it's pretty pathetic that Sony can't push out an update on time. This is the infrastructure for your main gaming platform. You should be able to deliver on that. Not having a solid system in place for a simple storefront update doesn't give me a lot of faith in whatever services they plan on rolling out for the PS4.

I work in IT for a company that has to make large amounts of data available to web-based customers 24/7. It's complex work with many opportunities for service issues, but I'd be having many more meetings with management if it was this wonky.

The big rumor is Batman: Arkham City and Limbo for US+, not sure if confirmed for May.

EU+ knocks it outta the park yet again IMO. Too bad Sine Mora isn't cross play for plus there, I'd like the PS3 version for US+.
 
Sorry in advance if this has been asked before! Can you have PS+ accounts from two different regions on the same PS3? Like, can I set up a second account on my PS3 that is an EU PS+ member and then play the games I download on my NA account, along with NA PS+ games?

yep, many do just that, or set up JP accounts to get imports I can't even pronounce;)
 
Wait, so I am reading that European PS+ members got Okami HD and Virtue's Last Reward this month? .... And we got a 5 year old game in a Demon Souls? How is that fair? Is there a way to log in to the EU store with your American PS plus account to get these games? Probably a dumb question but what the hell.
 
has anyone ever compared the EU plus updates to the US plus updates, more specifically the comments section? its like, no matter what the games are, the US section is full of bitching and complaining, and the EU is people actually saying thank you and commenting on the games that are coming out. pretty funny actually.

I am probably in the minority and prefer getting more free PSN games than retail games since I tend to buy physical copies of retail games I want eventually. I would mostly use the free PS Plus digital retail game as a demo to see if I would like to buy it or not.

No but you can create an EU account and either buy an EU PS+ card online or get a free 30 day trial and have access to the games for a month. Only PS3 games though, Vita PS+ games from EU can't be played with your American account. That's how I played Okami.

Agreed. I have both Arkham City and Demons Souls, and I've been waiting for a while for the price to drop on Hitman so I could get it. I'd also be interested in playing Catherine too. Apparently, I need to move to Europe.

The worst part is, every single update for PS+ is gonna be like this-- there will always be some contingent on the internet that hates the particular batch of games and is stupidly vocal about it.

It's like there aren't 52 weeks in the year...there's the one PS+ update they don't like and that's the only update that has ever happened and will ever happen :lol:

Okami is a completly different game. Like a zelda clone of sorts. Kinda hard to compare apples and oranges. Okami also is touchy feely and funny, demons souls is neither of those things...very much a matter of opinion between those two.
