question little thing is throwing me here

Machinarium (PS3)

but if you go to the bottom of the page it shows

Ps3 & vita crossbuy

meaning do you think this will be FREE to play on the vita as well or just the PS3
You can call up homies in the game and they'll follow you around, ride in your car, shoot at your enemies, etc. CheapyD won a charity auction and they put his likeness in the game and he recorded dialog that randomly gets said while performing those actions.

It's good. You know that section of the game where you're lying low and out of communication while traveling? It takes place there. It's 3-4 hours, lets you experiment with the tech tree differently than you did in the main game (if you choose), and has a boss fight of the type that people seemed to want when they complained about the ones in the main game.
That is fucking cool! I didn't know that.
There is no gaming news site that exists besides for Destructoid and Kotaku. Didn't you get the memo? All of the rest shut down. Even IGN.

But seriously though, why does it matter? Do you not believe the news or something?

EDIT: I just watched the video they linked in which the Producer says the news himself. So I'm confused as to your befuddlement?

Can we get a...

AMEN!?
I'm sorry you two are blinded by the rancid shit expelled by those two sites.

It's just PS3 unless something changes with whichever update it's offered for PS+. The game has no Cross Buy support.
I'm sorry you two are blinded by the rancid shit expelled by those two sites.
How is an actual video from the Producer of the Tales series "rancid shit"? Where he himself says the news? Who do you want to hear the news from? Homeless people on the street?
Who do you want to hear the news from? Homeless people on the street?
Somewhere not Kotaku or Destructoid? It's a simple request.

FYI:

Kotaku: sensationalist titles and irrelevant articles forced into the site by Gawker Media.

Destructoid: run by douchenozzles.

Neither worthy of clicks.

So they would completely fabricate a video of the producer of the game saying it's actually happening? This isn't like when site-I'm-forgetting got Yu Suzuki to talk about the plot of Shenmue 3, which - spoilers - involved Ryo Hazuki farting to the moon and fighting aliens with his machine gun arm.

so awesome. just flipped my 2 copies of sr3 for 17 each (12 + 5 bonus). also zero escape is such an awesome trippy game, super easy plat. i semi cheated and followed a flow chart guide so i wasnt hitting many story locks, but so much fun!

also machinarium is fun too and my kid loves it cuz bobot game, but wow it gets tough.

Glad I dont download anything but games and delete them when finished with them. I have a 160GB and have about 50GB free space still. More than enough to download SR3 Deus Ex and Machi whatever its called. :)
it's the same fucking video
Since I didn't click the Destructoid link, how was I supposed to know there was a video?

I'm gonna sell my physical copy of Virtue's Last reward for around $25-$30 and get the download copy.

I can't recommend that game enough to anyone who has any interest what so ever in Visual Novel type of games.

Also, this has probably been asked before but are the saves from the physical copy transferable to the download copy?

re: bizarre news site conversation - try polygon.com - it sort of came out of nowhere recently (at least, my knowledge of it) and i have no idea who owns it, but they seem to be doing a pretty solid job of it.
Very excited about VLR as I was looking to pick that up for the Vita anyway. But that means I have to play 999 first so there's a little pressure there ;).
i played (and plat'd) Zero Escape w/o having played 999 and had no problems with it plot wise. I think pretty much everything you'd need to know is explained story wise. It was actually really interesting plotwise, and each alternate path will slowly reveal more and more layers.

I recommend not using any sort of guide for the game. The puzzles are challenging at times, but nothing ridiculous, and the story navigation is such that you can easily jump around (ie, while there might be an 'optimal path', it's not a significant savings from any path you choose, so just play as you will and you'll be absolutely fine). You can easily skip to any story branch at any time, and skip any dialog you've read before (it will auto-pause as soon as it hits any change whatsoever... sometimes a conversation might have a slight twist).

Polygon was created by the 3 best/funniest dudes from Joystiq. I know Phil Kollar from Game Informer is over there now too.

Joker told you there was a video lol
Upgrading my harddrive was one of the best decisions I ever made. This is the one I got, for $58:

My 750 GB is over half full already.
I heard those aren't reliable or am I thinking of the Seagates?

Looking at the box art, it doesn't save to the memory card. If you have PS+, then just make sure that you upload the save to the PS+ cloud and then download it back to your Vita once you have the game.
Like I said, though, there is no compatibility between the disc-based and digital game save for LBP Karting so if you have any amount of progress on it you may not wish for that. It was my plan to sell my disc copy when I bought the digital one, but my son (the younger one who still plays the PS3) was pretty upset that he'd lose all his progress so I kept it. Now if it becomes one of the free games that will just piss me off even more ;).
I haven't started playing it so that's fine with me.

Does anyone know if save games are compatible between the digital and disc of Saints Row 3? I'm tempted to do the same but not if I have to start over.

Edit: remembered that there is a thread for this, it appears that it is compatible: http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=336757

Recorded a couple of videos of Deus-Ex: Human Revolution since the scripted intro sequence would've taken up the whole without showing much of the stuff that you'd want to see from that sort of game. The second part should be pretty good since it shows how messing around can affect things later on.
I heard those aren't reliable or am I thinking of the Seagates?
I don't really know. Most the reviews for it were pretty positive on Amazon, and a few people here in another thread highly recommended WD as well.

Kinda funny Deus being free now with the Wii U version around the corner.

Also, VLR for free is awesome. Good for people who haven't played this yet :)

I might of been confused with the seagates then. Gonna order the one you posted.

Just got home after work and realized Mr. No something is now satisfied that he has seen the same exact video on another website and is happy for some reason. My brain cannot understand this logic and is now melting.

Conclusion: All is now right in the world.
Content for US PS+ June: Saints Row 3, Deus Ex: HR, Machinarium, Orc Attack and Zero Escape. Not bad.
Looks like they even held back the Infamous 2, R&C All4One, and LB2 replacements for E3.

If you'd stop being a tightass, you'd be able to think clearly. What part of "sites with shit reputation = no clicky" don't you understand?

The part where you spent more time complaining about what site was being linked to than you would have finding the damn video for yourself on another site.

And what do you have against Joker's tight ass? He spends a lot of time at the gym for that.

I think I'm going to have to subscribe to Playstation Plus. I've been becoming more of a PS3 gamer over the past few months. I wish I knew how to switch out the hard drives, my 40gb drive is near full.

So while CAG was down, Orc Attack was removed from the PS+ lineup and replaced with Gods Eater Burst.

I've mentioned before that I don't particularly care for PSP games, so this was kind of a bummer to me.  But at least they were quick about replacing it, and I may actually check out Gods Eater Burst at some point, though it's not really my genre of choice.

^It's 100% true.  They updated the blog post as well.

Also, they removed the "Cross Buy" from Machinarium, so I don't think we'll be getting the Vita version, which really shouldn't be a surprise since the game wasn't cross-buy in the first place.

However, shockingly, Limbo is cross buy!

Hey I've always wanted to try out God's Eater Burst! Sounds good to me. On a side note good lord is this extremely white now haha. Is there a setting to change it to a darker background like on some forums? It's burning my eye holes!

@Eldredpe I did spend a lot of time at the gym for that. Wish people would be more considerate of it! :(

EDIT: Looks like Shipwreck just confirmed on Twitter a darker background option will be coming. Woot

Paint Park Plus has trophies! Found this out by attaining 2 bronze and a silver by simply showing the new app to my daughter.
Haha yeah they took me about 12 minutes to get. You can get the ad-hoc ones by yourself as well, making it a super easy 100%.

I'm actually happy to hear we will get Gods Eater Burst, heard it played similar to MH but I never tried it on my PSP. Now I have an excuse to try it on my Vita.

Nope, they still haven't implemented the "dark" theme.

Setting to change the background will be coming, but isn't available yet.

Cheapy needs to stick that info right on the front page, it's going to be asked about a million times.

EDIT: They need to make the quote box lines darker too.

Finally got my hands on Lumines for Vita, and it's not super unresponsive, but it really suffers when you need speed and accuracy... 30 second Stopwatch and Master Zone 4 were a pain in the butt!

(Now that I've bought it and started it, expect it in IGC soon)
