just beat R.O. glad i don't have to buy it now. that went alot quicker than i expected.

kinda has the demon souls sadness tho, where you beat the game with random people and feel like you didn't do enough work yourself...

i guess i could go through solo but...

now just to get all the trophies except all cards and ill call it a wrap.

I've watched gameplay, and i know it gets rave reviews... but... it just looks like a platforming beat-em-up to me, and neither genre generally appeals to me except in certain cases (like, i really dug rayman origins). the 7.50 plus universal acclaim is calling my name, but the game itself is pushing me away.

This week, I'm just gonna get Blood Dragon and Castle of Illusion.

As for Ragnarok, I think I'm spending too much time farming for awesome cards. I'm gonna try just moving on with the story as I'm probably strong enough as it is to beat it solo.

Is anyone having trouble with the PS Store? I was able to browse earlier and download the new free PS+ stuff, but when one of the downloads finished it kicked me back to the XMB. I played the Blob demo then went back to the store and purchased that bundle, Guacamelee and Castle of Illusion. When I went to my Download List it took me to the XMB again and said some of my previous downloads finished. It wasn't letting me check my Download List or go back into the store and kept giving "An error has occurred (80710003)". I restarted my PS3 and it's working again... For now.

I'm glad I decided to pick up a $50 PSN card for $45 through BestBuy yesterday and will return the memory card this week. I just spent $25 of the card on those 3 games. I'm excited to finally try Guacamelee and go through Castle of Illusion before the remake comes out.

I've been playing the Blob game on Vita this past week and it's fun. Did the PS3 version come out first? I prefer the Vita version where it automatically absorb items. Having to hold a button to do it on PS3 is a little annoying because I'm not used to it. Otherwise it's still fun.

The online and PS3 store has been wonky.  Couldn't sign in to get the freebies online, store was slow as hell and crashed once on me on the PS3.  I also grabbed that free God of War Mantle thing but it doesn't show in my download list and won't let me re-buy it.  

Got both Star Wars Pinballs to my PS3.  I downloaded the Unlock Keys first, then the standalone.  It was saying Trial after it installed.  Had to re-download the key to unlock it.   I am assuming the Zen unlock worked but I didn't check.

The PS3 version was out quite a bit before the Vita version. The Vita version is quite a bit better IMO.

 
Anybody else preorder Castle of Illusion and download the original Genesis version tonight? Was wondering if it had its own trophy list. I'm on vacation so I can't check myself.
 
I wasn't able to install the standalone star wars tables on vita either, but the Zen pack worked flawlessly. I don't even understand the point of releasing a standalone. Both installs work on the PS3, though. The only difference appears to be that in the standalone you're able to chooose between playing for the light or dark side. Don't think it's an option in Zen.

Katamari - it's katamari on a hand held. i own it and enjoy it. i do hate the characters, but i like figuring out the fastest way to grow big. i think it has 9 maps and 9 unlockable maps. you can either pay to unlock those, or grind for items to unlock them. you need 10 items per map unlock. i've just been futzing around on the first two maps and already have 5 so it shouldn't be too bad (and one map is supposed to be easy to grind them). i hate the characters and all, but gameplay is where it's at.

Sumioni - play the demo. wasn't for me. some like it.

Speaking of Bit Runner 2 -- anyone have any word on a vita release date? i just aced the first 3 levels on my ps3 and i think i'd much prefer it on a smaller screen. the sort of zoning in i do for that kind of game kind of melts my head on the big screen (or maybe i'm just really used to my vita at this point).

Hey, I know this is late, but thanks for the thoughts as it was exactly what I was looking for. I ended up getting Katamari and skipping Sumioni. I haven't tried it out yet since I'm still working on Dragon's Crown.

They're going to put Runner 2 on Vita? I would have loved that to begin with. I feel the exact same way about the big screen with that game. I feel like I'm getting vertigo if I keep at it for too long, which is a shame because I really enjoy the game.

This week I'm considering Guacamelee, New Little King's Story, and I'll probably get Nun Attack just because it's so darn cheap. Muramasa is quite good and probably one of the best original retail games on Vita right now. I think Dragon's Crown tops it but still quite enjoyable with incredible graphics.

I'm trying to stock up my Vita before my wife goes into labor with our second as I imagine that's the system I'll be on for a while.

Is built-in Remote Play for everything on the PS4 the most exciting feature of the new console to anyone else? Every PS4 game on the go or from any room in the house? I mean, how cool is that?

Also, flipping excited about Castle of Illusion. My cousin had it and that was always the first game I'd play on his Genesis when we would visit.

I picked up Dynasty Warriors, UMvC3, Mutant blob attacks, and nun Attack. Already have Guacamelee(great game). what did everyone else pick up.
Can anyone sell me on Doa5 plus and New Little King Story? I can't quite decide on those two.

I hope Real boxing has ps plus discount next week.
 
I had trouble d/ling star wars pinball on my vita.  Tried to then d/l it from my ps3 and still had problems.  I ended up d/ling the free zen 2 demo then the add on version and that worked.  I was then able to import my og zen pinball tables so it all worked out in the end.

 
Nice freebies on PS Plus this week, maybe even the best yet. But come on, 30GB for Uncharted 3?! Damn, that's going to take a year and a day to download...not to mention clearing out the hard drive beforehand.

It just doesn't feel the same though. I still have my PS1 hooked up with an S-video cable to my old CRT. I think investore has a good idea i may just restart Saiyuki on the actual PS1 the way it was meant to be playd. Still its awesome that the PS3 does that for those who aren't collectors

 
ms germinator however isnt appearing in the cross buy list when i use the online PS store, can anyone confirm 100% it is a cross buy title? i really want to get it and guacamelee, possibly dynasty warriors as well.

The multiplayer and singleplayer portions are separate "transactions" and can be downloaded in whatever order. It's best to download and install the largest files first since you need double the space to perform the install operation.

I can confirm it; bought the PS3 version, and the Vita version is now in my download list as well.

I downloaded it yesterday and it doesn't have Trophies.

Last night I downloaded Guacamelee and only planned to play it for a little bit. I ended up playing it for like 5 hours because it was so good. What a charming game. I didn't even play more Saints Row 4 like I planned to. I think that shows how much fun I was having.
It kind of reminds me of Outland which is another really great Metroidvania game with a dual color/world gameplay/combat reminiscent of Ikaruga.
 
I've made it a rule to not put people on the ignore list so I can't see their posts. Cause it would make this thread more confusing. But stuff like that is starting to change my mind.

 
has the store not fully updated for anyone else? both star wars pinball and darkstalkers don't show up on the igc page, and all the weekly deals aren't up either. The prices have updated though but I have to search for each game individually which is a bit annoying since I'm buying quite a few games this week

I had the same issue. Last weeks stuff was still showing up under the weekly links.

Had to manually search, and I'm still not sure if I "purchased" Star Wars pinball correctly. Then again, Hitman, that other pinball game, and some of the other bundles/cross buy games say I don't have them purchased but won't let me "buy" them either.

No trophies in the Genesis version. I preordered and played the Genesis game last night. I never played the original, so don't have any nostalgia for it, but I found it to be pretty awesome. I was thrown for a loop initially (by default, circle is jump and you have to either hold down on the d pad or hold jump when landing on enemies to kill them), but eased into it fairly quickly.

I really enjoy playing these retro platformers (new games with retro aesthetics just don't seem to do it for me, Mega Man 9/10 excluded). I think the companies should just save themselves time and money and release the original games for $5.

 
I've only picked up dynasty warriors. I've wanted a copy of that for awhile. The mini games suck using the vita, but I was honestly surprised how good the game was other than all that. It's enough to scratch my DW itch.

Gonna look into castle of illusion. Had no idea you get the genesis version with it :eek:

Meh fine. I let it be for now then. Guess my patience is just getting to me lately. Thanks for the input.

More on topic, I tried the KZ beta. I'll have to admit it looks wonderful and plays well on the vita. But for me, it just makes me want to play it or another fps on the tv with a controller or mouse and keyboard. I guess portable FPSs will never be in the future for me. But for those of you that can enjoy it more, I think this game will definitely be a great FPS for the vita.

Tip: If u press X on the 1st level you will get a error every time.
