Its pretty darn fun. Ive spent about 4 hours with it annd its damn addictive
Agreed! Divekick is a weird, cool, funny, unique game that anyone can pick up and play but there is strategy in it and it is tons of fun! Very addicting too.

Pinball Arcade is not Cross Buy. It's been confirmed that they're going to offer a discount to those that already own the PS3/Vita versions.

Hohokum was the first Cross Buy title announced for PS4, PS3, and Vita.
oh, crap, you're right. googling it, it looks like it was misreported as being cross buy at first and was then corrected. well, that sucks.

Finally tried Star Wars pinball. It detected my 3d TV so I figured what the hell. Well holy shit - LATENCY. There was like half a second between pressing the button and action on screen. I had to use my TV's game mode which brought it down to an acceptable level where it was only barely noticeable.

Is there massive latency without 3d as well? I didn't get a chance to play without yet.
It's still there but not nearly as noticeable compared to the way you describe it.

The engine is pretty much a sophisticated emulator of the table software so the framerate suffers during heavy action.

I briefly used 3d and didn't experience much. The only thing that annoys me (off or on) is that the left flipper sometimes doesn't respond as quickly as the right. Sometimes, it doesn't move at all. Could be my controller, though.

So I read here that one of these is a game and the other is DLC. Do I need to install all of these or only one of them each for PS3/Vita? I’ve only been a PS+ member since last November so the only other pinball I own is Pinball Arcade from May PS+.

Star Wars Pinball is a standalone version of Zen Pinball 2 specifically for the Star Wars tables. Otherwise you can play them along with any other Zen Pinball 2 DLC tables inside of the ZP2 game app. Each has a PS3 and Vita version. It's your choice how you prefer to play the tables so you don't have to download it all if you don't want to.

That is a stellar lineup, obviously, but they really should consider implementing a 6-month rule on new releases. I'd be pissed if I bought Stealth Inc. Discounts/sales are fair game, but new releases?

Somehow I glanced over that. That is pretty dirty. Especially with the plus discount on preorders to entice people to buy early like me haha. I assume EU got the same discount as well? Ouch

Wow, once again I'm very impressed at the EU offerings. Especially those Vita offerings, wow! Can't wait to see what 5 year old PSP game we get this month! And keep in mind that Stealth Inc is cross buy so they're getting 3 high quality Vita games this month. Makes me a little hesitant about buying Little King's Story this week.

They didn't get a 20% off discount on Stealth Inc, but they did get the DLC free if they purchased the game during the first week or 2 of release. I definitely agree with Breakfuss though. Either make a game free on launch, or don't give it away for 3-6 months after release. I will be quite pissed if we get Stealth Inc for free this month since I just bought it. But I really don't think we will.

Well I was going to get NLKS, but seeing that EU lineup has me nervous. Not sure if I'd play it for a while, and if it goes free for US, then I'm boned out of 10 clams.

I may still get it, I mean it's only 10 clams. I can always just play it right away to make my purchase worthwhile.

Yeah them making a game free so close to it's release doesn't do anything but hurt them and the developers. It'll just give potential buyers more reasons to wait on games coming to plus rather than paying for it on or near release. Not really a smart move by EU marketing.

Sorry, I lied. The Jak and Daxter Trilogy digital version in Europe is ALSO cross-buy on Vita, so Europe is getting 4 6 good Vita games this month, 4 with Platinum trophies! Jesus Christ!

I did not know Jak and Daxter Trilogy was separate trophy lists on Vita. Even when I do get a Vita, I am not sure I could bring myself to play 2 again though. That game was frustrating with its lack of checkpoints. 3 was rather brutal to get all the orbs even making use of the glitch.

Jak II is one of the worst games I ever played. I started it again on Vita and just said nope. Can't deal with it.

Well I've been playing Guacamelee and that is just the game I've been wanting lately. Metroidvania like design with fun fluid combat.
Guacamelee is awesome. The only major complaint you come across is that some people think it's too short which is not a problem for me. I'll play it again once they release some story base DLC.

IDK, but I feel they are laughing at the guys that run PS+US w/ these many great games and all the US guys can get are cross-buy repeats and psp fighting games for the vita :( IMO, they should just fire the US PS+ team, they don't really explain why they can't give good games as of late nor they seem to care.

Clearly exageration here as Jak 2 is VERY frustrating but it is far from a bad game. I do remember I stopped playing it on PS2 because of the driving controls but I was able to power through the HD version. Not sure if Vita version is a problem though.

Off topic (sorry in advance)

Does anyone use the PDP Trigger Grip and the Hori SP?  I  heard the grip pushes the Screen Protector up?

Back on Topic:

I really want ACIII dammit!

But EU members complain that we get better sales.

Well we know that we won't be getting at least part of their lineup.  New Little King's story wouldn't be on sale then go free a week later.  Doubt they would give away Stealth Inc that quick here either when it was part of the Play thing.

I wouldn't mind getting the Jak Trilogy or Stealth Inc., but I'm at the point where I have a large enough backlog I don't mind getting everything I want. Although EU gets some great stuff, we've gotten some great stuff as well. I agree less PSP fighters would be nice though :)

Yes it does. I also found the PDP Trigger Grip to be too small for my hands (uncomfortable after about an hour or so of playing). I've been using the batarang looking one for a little while now. It feels much better.

That's not an over-reaction at all.

I gotta admit though, that's a damn good month. Although, from what I hear, the Jak trilogy on Vita is terrible.

Except I'm not exaggerating. One of the worst games I've ever played. I can't think of a single redeeming quality. All the controls sucked, from driving, to shooting, to even a broken double jump that works 75% of the time. How about you don't make a game with vehicles that travel at crazy speeds, but control terribly, in a city you have to navigate primarily using narrow passages. How about if your primary weapon is a rifle, you give the player the ability to aim it, instead of just turning in the general direction of an enemy and hoping your shot hits them. Oh yeah, and I totally don't mind having to go across the entire fucking city every five minutes to accept a new mission.

I wasn't a huge fan of the first game, but at least it had charm. It wasn't completely broken...though the double jump is a problem in the first as well. It wasn't full of missions that if you failed, for some reason you have to redo the entire fucking thing, but you lose all your ammo in the process. There's actually a section towards the very end of Jak II, where if you run out of ammo, you're completely screwed and can't finish the mission.

I don't understand why people think it's the PS Plus "team" that is to blame. They seem to break their neck to reach out for feedback from us, in PS Blog comments, on the PS forums, and even in the surveys that they create every week. They seem to be understanding what the majority want (games simliar to EUs) but the haven't really delivered those. That screams to me that resources are the issue, not the team. I'd love to know how much money SCEA gives the PS Plus team to bring in free games and how much SCEE gives to the PS Plus team over there.

I really feel like there's a discrepancy there, and that is causing the discrepancy between the EU and US games. I don't think "firing the US PS+ team" solves anything.

It would be interesting to see the difference in funding if that is the issue here. Seems like a very valid point. However, to all the people that complain about EU getting better stuff. JUST GET A EU PS+ ACCOUNT I costs basically just the same amount of money as your US account. The only thing that you cannot do is use the Vita Games on your main (presumably U.S.) account. All the other games will work fine. Either do that or have both EU and US. That is what i do so I am glad that they don't have a lot of the same offerings. Makes it better all the way around to have 2 full listings of games.

Just because you highlighted it in fluorescent green I'm going to do exactly that right now.

Like other CAGs, I got the glitched ACIII on the 360. Honestly I don't think you would be missing much. I felt extremely bored for the first hour and put it down, maybe I am just jaded of the formula after II, Brotherhood and Revelations.

i'm never really bothered if a game i just bought goes ps+ or gets a sale a week later.  i bought the game at a price i was comfortable with.  done deal.  i know going into buying any game that, barring rare exceptions, prices will only drop in the future.   my purchase occurs when my desire finds balance with the current price and my current available funds.  i know in the future that some months the games available on ps+ will be games i bought -- that is evidence they are putting games i'd like on ps+, not that they're ripping me off.

in other news, i bought guac yesterday (along with nlks and dynasty warriors...  i'm debating on blood dragon still).

it's a great little platformer/brawler.  great combat mechanics, a nice platforming challenge (wall jumps, platforms, positive/negative worlds, and special moves required to get to certain platforms).    the game is very fluid, and just 'feels' right.   that said, it's really not my genre and i probably should have saved my money.  but all praise for the game is well deserved.

Have they told us it's a resources problem? because if it is, we could complain to the appropriate person, AFAIK they haven't said that. All they more or less say is we understand and then do nothing. They talk and do their work like politicians. If the 'team' is not getting enough resources then they should complain or tell us to complain. I really don't think that is the issue. most likely there are way more vita owners in the US so they want us to spend money for games, while in europe they are trying to create a fan base so they entice people to get a vita for example.

Red portion is why I'm not interested in a PS+ EU account. Especially since I'm only ever jealous of the Vita games it seems like. Last 2 months I've had all the PS3 PS+ EU games but none of the Vita ones.

I'm not interested in dedicating one of my 16GB Vita memory cards to an EU account, nor am I interested in playing those games on an alternate account. I am interested in US PS+ giving us higher quality PS Vita games.

I still wonder if it's a piracy issue. By that I mean, in Europe, piracy is more prevalent, so the publishers are more willing to get some money via PS+ freebies vs. no money via piracy. In the US, since piracy is not as prevalent, they aren't willing to make the same deals.

So while EU PS+ team might get the same (or less) money than NA PS+ does, they can get more bang for their buck so to speak.
