Okay. I dislike most platformers but ended up buying this. I just beat it on normal, 100%, only need to beat it on hard for the plat.

general thoughts - it is an excellent platformer. some very difficult sections -- you've got everything from wall jumping to phase shifting to unlocked special moves... and often have to use many techniques in combination. most normal sections aren't particularly difficult but if you're going for 100% there are some seriously annoying/difficult sections (2 sets of levels required for orbs that only get you a special ending, specifically - you need to master multiple move combos while phase shifting).

combat is ridiculously solid. in addition to an absolutely stellar combo system and lots of cool unlockable wrestling moves, you've got great enemies, phase shifting, and enemies that have shields keyed to special moves. the end result is a really great combat system.

graphics, music, and gameplay are all just top notch. it's not my type of game and even though i thought it was great i would have preferred to save the money... but it was certainly a better purchase than, say, silent hill. anyone who likes platformers, beat-em-ups, and metrodvania style games will likely adore this game.

it'll never happen. he started out trolling this thread weekly but somehow managed to become a goofy mascot because of his over the top posts about sony pissing on us. now his venom is neutered, so all he's got left are space bars and colors.

I picked up FC3: Blood Dragon, Guacamelee, and Mutant Blobs Attack... very excited to play them all. I might get a couple other titles before the sales end. That being said, I need to upgrade beyond the 4gb Vita card I currently have. It looks like GameStop has a promo that whittles down the price of the 32 gb card to $68 and change. I'm aware of the recent drop in MSRP but I'm still holding out hope a better sale will come along. :/

Anyone else notice that the "New On PS3" - > "All New Releases" items are no longer solely sorted by date? For example, some of the 8/13 updates (such as Zatanna DLC for Injustice) are before some of the 8/20 updates (such as Level Up +10 DLC for Tales of Xillia)? Maybe I'm the only annoyed by this.

It is. No reason you cant have FC3 on 360 and Blood Dragon on PS3.

Also, I seem to be having an issue with the webstore. Not at my PS3 to test. I go on to grab some of the free PS Plus games, like Star Wars Pinball, Hitman, and SR3 for example. All have the add to cart option, but when I click it I get a message telling me I'm not eligible to purchase the product. My download list doesn't show the games, and everything else on the PS Plus page says "Purchased." Any ideas?

just a heads up, i had a hunch and was right - a lot of people must be buying vitas bundled with a Unit 13 code right now due to various sales, and are putting them up on ebay.

i just got one for under $10.   they're listed at various prices (some as high as $20, lol) but i think a bit of paying attention should get you one for $10 or less.  (there's one for $10 buy it now right now).

the last thing i needed was another game, but unit 13 is one of the last few games on my tier 1 wish list so i couldn't refuse.

OK I was searching through my downloaded (or purchased) items and WOW.

Does anyone know if there is a way on either the PS3 or PC to sort by item type (PSP, PSVita, PS3, add on, ect...)?

I have tried to find a way and no luck.

Just looking for a way to find out what I have of what.

Please Help!

it's instabuy for me, but i grew up with tempest and can't wait for it on vita.  if only the vita had a spin dial...

no, the download list sucks, especially if you have 1000+ items on it.

Yea, I tell me about it! Since the Vita dropped in price, I was thinking about picking one up, since I already have games for it (PS Plus). But searching through 1000+ things to find them is just ridiculous.

And most of them do not even say what system they are for. They just say Game.

Its a little easier on the vita to find your vita stuff in the list. Visually, there's a decent difference between ps3 stuff ( says "not available") and the vita/PSP stuff ( which has the download button). It still sucks, but not like the ps3 store.

yea, beat me to it... but this. it's still annoying because it loads slower than you can scroll, so if you're looking for something in the middle of the list it can be annoying.

my guess is they'll eventually get around to fixing this -- they have nice filters in the store itself, and with the ps4 coming it's only going to become more of a priority.

Yeah, same here, over 1k items in my download list. The ONLY redeeming help is that the oval DOWNLOAD button ONLY appears on items that CAN be downloaded onto the VITA. It took me a bit of scrolling to realize that. It still sucks in that after you select an item for download, the list resets to the top, GRRRRRR!

Agree, we need a better way to manage content. I'm a big fan of my ipad/iphone button ON this device/NOT on this device, plus search field, more helpfull.

A date/alpha sort would even help for Sony devices, waiting patiently, but still REALLY enjoying my Vita!

It happened to me earlier this week, i reloaded the page a couple of tines and it eventually worked.
 
After buying FC: Blood Dragon and Castle of Illusion, I should have about $30 in PSN credit.  Should I buy anything else or just wait?  I'm leanin towards just wait.

I have about $30 left too (picked up FC Blood Dragon, Mutant Blobs for PS3, and Nun Attack this week), I've been debating on buying Metal Gear Solid for Vita but am most likely going to hold on to my remaining credit for now.

Thanks to your tip, got Unit 13 for $9.50.

 
I have one more save question. Still new to using the cloud alot. So I upload all my game saves to the cloud.

Now lets say on the Vita I delete a game bubble. It says its deleting the game and contents. So is the save deleted from the vita itself but I still have another save in the cloud? Im to the point where I need to delete some games off the vita but want to make sure I keep the save files.

If the save has been uploaded to cloud storage, then you're safe to delete it.

I'm still trying to figure how the Vita IGC works out.

Unit 13 was part of the Vita IGC on Asia PS+... so I was thinking it was just a matter of time :/

PSASBR sounds like a highly likely candidate too

Not really sure what you mean about trying to figure it out, it works however they strike deals with publishers to bring the games to PS+. There's some crossover and occasional correlation between the two but no causation or pattern that can be relied upon.

hmm. I meant figuring out the trend.

I was thinking whatever appears on other regions' IGC will in due time appear in NA.

but in any case, I'm not denying that $9.50 is a great price for Unit 13 :D

That's not actually new. That's Yatagarasu - a PC game that just finished a kickstarter and will see an enhanced version with more characters. It was also slated for 3Ds but looks like it may have been shelved for the Vita version.

It's new insofar as it's coming to Vita and isn't currently on it. The 3DS version was cancelled for the Vita.

only the demo. waiting for a sale. iirc it was slightly different - you're racing down a tunnel avoiding/catching things, right? in Tempest/TxK you're spinning around the outside, shooting things coming at you.

holy crap Flamehead is hard on 'hard' Guacamelee. I mean, i'm pretty good at this stuff, but once you have him down in health his helpers plus phase shifting = death.

i want it, and yes, it's interesting... but it's up against Spelunky so Spelunky gets the knockout. I'd love to hear reviews of Real Boxing tho

It's a nice color, to me anyway, but that's a lot of money for a phat 360 and that particular iteration had a lot of RRODs. I would rather spend the $25 and get the 250GB slim model that's on AWD if I was buying one from what's available.

Search the item in the store proper. If you've already bought the item, its not listed as "buy now" but "purchased" and you can download it straight from there.

 
Grrr...I play DoA so much and would love to sell my physical card for the digital version, but I feel like I'm being suckered in because an Ultimate version will come out later or something..
