The psp was a powerhouse for RPG's and that is one main reason I bought the vita, in hopes of more RPG's. Glad they had a sale like this, but nothing for me this week. Wallet is happy this week. Yeah, I wish there had been more PS4 games. I just opened and set up my PS4 this morning and I only have the Infamous Second Son and Putty physical games along with what's on my PS+ list. I downloaded Shadow Warrior and Injustice: Ultimate Edition already but I probably should have had the foresight to buy some of those $10 PS4 games last week when they were on sale. I don't know why but $10 is my favorite price point for current gen games and $5 and under is my favorite price point for anything PS3 or Vita. Anything more than that, I wait for a sale.

And I've got $7 in my PSN wallet right now? Would you guys buy Tetris Ultimate or Qbert Rebooted with that $7? I know Qbert is cross buy, but both games have an average review score of 6 across the board.

Yeah, that was a little odd to see/hear. I'll keep at it :) The game is still fun anyways, and if need be I can just turn the voices off.

I have the feeling you can create some scary looking air juggles in this game :D

I know this shouldn't come as any sort of surprise to me but...

I am a retrogamer, first and foremost. I rarely balk at buying these same games time and time again to have them on the current system. I'm a huge Metal Slug fan. Like, MS is close to my favorite game series ever. Top three, anyway. But, $14.99 MSRP for what I'm going to assume is a straightforward port of MS3 (complete with busted netcode)? GTFO! And I say this as someone who bought the entire Neo Geo Station package at full price when it dropped. Well aware I don't have to buy it. I can play one of the 37 other ports I own or finally pony up for the Neo Geo cart like I've been meaning to for years. But man, I just can't wrap my mind around this one.

 
So I was browsing just trying to find some more stuff to buy. I came across New Little King's Story, watched some gameplay and it looks like it could be fun. Any opinions on it? Worth $10?

Crazy talk. KZM is absolutely fantastic on all levels. Great missions with a variety of ways to approach them (once beaten, there are stealth/precision/demolition challenges), incredible graphics, solid fps, solid MP that's still active.

Yes, maybe? If you watched gameplay and were interested, I'd say yes. Plays like pikmin or Army corps of Hell. There is severe slowdown if you have a ton of followers (towards end of game) AND you're in your home city, but outside of that it's fine.

Definitely. Atelier games are far more niche in appeal and don't jump into them without making sure they'll interest you first.

Kind of depends what you're comparing it to. As a portable shooter it's probably the best one ever. Compared to a AAA shooter it's probably above average but it's all relative and is AAA level on the Vita. Some people just expect too much.

Bastion wasn't on Playstation? I tried the PC demo out but couldn't make up my mind on it. Then I got to play Transistor...made me regret I didn't buy Bastion for the around $5 it was during the summer Steam sale.

That's what I had thought, though I was thinking more from a Remote Play perspective for PS4 games. Picked up a $30 AR one from TigerDirect, so I guess that will be my PS TV controller.

I'll trade-in my primary PS3 DS3 and use the one from the PS TV bundle as my new controller.

its hard going back to MMOs, I played FF14 at launch and really enjoyed it and did everything but the few times they have had a free weekend I login, spend 15 minutes trying to figure out what the hell all these buttons do, give up and quit. Great game, but in so many ways MMOs are always best played fresh from level 1, once you are gone a while trying to get back in is insane. I'd probably start a brand new character if I tried the trial again this weekend.

I think "digital-only games" is in regard only to those new release games. God of War is listed along games like Call of Duty, Dragon Age, and Grand Theft Auto. I don't think those series have digital-only games. Neither does Saints Row if you count Gat Out of Hell in the Re-Elected bundle.

I picked up tetris on XB1 digitally and paid $10 (because i had expiring MSP). Don't think it's quite worth that. Doesn't everyone own a version of tetris in one way or another? I love Q-Bert, but I'm not paying $7.

My pricepoint on games:

Physical current gen - $15 or below ($20 for GOTY)

Physical previous gen - $10 or below ($20 for GOTY)

Digital - $5 or below

Of course, there are always exceptions for MSRP games (for me RPG's).

Killzone Mercenary is decent, both as a first person shooter and as a Vita title. But I paid $9 for the download last year, and I still feel like I overpaid. It's not the second coming of FPS games nor is it even among the top 5-10 best games on the system.

I was interested at first, but I have a feeling it'll drop closer to the $5-$7.50 range eventually. I can wait.

I'll praise Sony when they launch the Vita 3.0 with MicroSD support and Valkyria Chronicles 3. UMD drive is optional but it would be nice too.

Did you try contacting FFXIV CS about getting an extension or are you getting some preemptive complaining in without actually trying to get one? The worst thing they'd do is say "No."

DS4 allows easier use of touch controls for Vita games that still require them for menus or whatever than the DS3 offers.
