:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

Did you try contacting FFXIV CS about getting an extension or are you getting some preemptive complaining in without actually trying to get one? The worst thing they'd do is say "No."
Ill email them later this evening to see what they say. Normally it's just a free weekend, but a week is lonnng.

I guess I'm in the minority, I can respect that.

There's just not much (nothing) on sale here that interests me but I can see how others might find value.

To be fair the past few weeks have had good sales just this vita sale was a little disappointing imo for an anniversary sale.

There are a bunch of games I would be interested in, but not at those prices.  I thought they typically offered a discount if you bought multiple games during these promotions, but it looks like that isn't the case with this one.  Oh well.

Yeah if it was like 25 percent off if you buy it all in advance or something like that I'd go for it..

I was thinking the same thing. I'm down to buy most of the games on the list but these "discounts" are pretty minor. Especially since I can see every game on this list to be free/heavily discounted at some point this year.

I'm having some issues here.  I tried to buy Neptunia Rebirth1 and Monster Monpiece (wow, could this have happened with more embarrassing games?), but it wouldn't let me add them to my cart and said I'm not elligible to purchase them.  I was glad, because I knew I'd already purchased them for the Valentine's Day sale (I hope they weren't more expensive during that sale!)

They are on my purchase history (at the top, because I just bought them on the 14th!), but when I look at them in the web store, they still have the "add to cart" button (which, as I said, does not work), and I can't find them in my download list, but to be fair, my download list is a huge ****ing mess (come on, Sony... why is it still like this?) and a real pain to search through.

What's the deal?  I'm going to check on my Vita and see if it's the same problem or if stuff works as intended there.

I cannot believe it has been almost a month since the last free PS PLUS games. I feel like it was just last week.

They usually announce the games ahead of time and I just looked and February's games were announced on January 29th. That is a Thursday. So we should probably get the news today.

Try signing out of the web store and signing back in to update everything.

because you said "if digital" like he had a choice then proceeded to say there isnt a physical copy of the game which means it would have to be digital.
Yea, but obviously I mean choose Rorona Plus, cause there's not a physical option at all, while the Tales of Hearts R has a physical version that could potentially cost less (with Birthday coupon or whatnot).

Here, I'll expand it for you.

"If you are only talking about the PSN sale on digital copies, and not in general, I would pick Rorona Plus. Tales of Hearts R has a physical version, and it isn't much more than the digital sale price, which could even be cheaper with coupons, and will be available for more than this week. But Rorona Plus doesn't have a physical Vita version at all, so the heavier discount is better for picking up during the sale."

Happy?

Damn, might as well make a prediction. If they are still finalizing details, I am going to say it is a big month.

PS4 :ps4:

Drive Club

Knack

PS3 :ps3:

Batman : Arkham Origins

Resident Evil 6

Not for Spring Fever. It's almost always been a discount on new releases with accompanying sales:

Spring Fever 2009
Spring Fever 2010
Spring Fever 2011
Spring Fever 2012
Spring Fever 2013
Spring Fever 2014

It's their promotions like PSN Play that offer the cashback rewards.

I love how you jump to the conclusion of a big month simply because they are still working on it. This is the same marketing department that routinely announces a list of games on sale and then deletes some items off the list the next day. Playstation's marketing department appears to be poorly managed. More than likely, the guy that was supposed to publish it today called in sick and no one else knew how to do it. :)

That being said, your list would make me pretty happy.

Killzone Mercenary is decent, both as a first person shooter and as a Vita title. But I paid $9 for the download last year, and I still feel like I overpaid. It's not the second coming of FPS games nor is it even among the top 5-10 best games on the system.
Why does it need to be the second coming of fps to be worth a good sale price? You said

And someone mentioned Killzone Mercenary but, as someone who owns KZM, I can say it's not much to write home about.
in regards to it being not being worth put on sale. it's a fantastic game, and definitely worth the price of admission for the majority of people looking for an FPS on vita... i mean, sure, you might like [insert game here] better, but acting like it's nothing special when it's not only the best FPS on portables but a solid game in it's own right is a bit misleading in my opinion.

Obviously not every game is for every person, so you're free to dislike it, but I'd argue the vast majority of people wanting a solid FPS experience on their vita will be pleased with their purchase. Heck, the vast majority of people are pleased with P4G, but I dislike it... but that doesn't mean I'd say it's not worth putting on sale/buying on sale as a general rule.

Is there any way to get two-factor authentication set up for PSN?  Or something similar to Steamguard?  I realized today how much stuff I have on there, and I would be really screwed if I ever lost my account (which I actually did back in 2009 or so...

Thanks affa and Vig. It does sound good but I think one more drop and I'll grab it.

Also, eww at March and April. I'll be going 2 months without buying something if they don't add more besides what's listed. The games aren't bad, but I can literally tell you right now that I have played all those games series and what I didn't play I have right now in the backlog.

Thoughts on EDF 2017? I'll probably pick it up anyways but just wanted to see what you guys have to say.
I've never played a Earth Defense Force game before so I'm wondering what people think of it as well. $12 is a little more then I'd like to pay but after watching a review on CGR it's very tempting.

it's a b movie -- you kill hoards of ants. people that love it really love it, even if it's never quite anything more than what it is. i played a ps3 one and it didn't grab me, but i'm still eventually going to pick it up for vita (not this sale). it's one of those games that's obviously got a heavy dose of 'feels budget' yet still manages to be fun. if you have 12 bucks, i'd say grab it. else wait, like i am.

Meh, ended up also getting Atelier's Trilogy. Right now I'm not at home so I can't really try them, checked some reviews and videos and they seemed fine. Plus, gotta support, so I guess it's fine.

Far more interestingly they also confirmed two months of disappointing sales:

17b9qe.jpg

Guess my wallet's safe at least after some heavy PSN spending the last two months.
Chances that the Grand Theft Auto week will include GTA V for PS4 at a price low enough for me to consider: 0.000001%. Other than that, I think I'm pretty much set on all of those franchises (I guess I'd get CoD: AW PS4 if it were super cheap, but it won't be.

Indeed. It's been in every big sale on both platforms and been like 30 cents off because they bundled it with in game currency. Unless they're going to try and get a secondary rush into the game after the influx of people checking out online heists has ebbed. To me $40 is probably the lowest it would be if they all got drunk when pricing it.

First week, the LEGO sale. There *may* be a few I may get.. depends on price.

2nd week: Pass, I have IV on PS4. I own the entire franchise on PC. (Steam sales)

3rd week: AC. Now I may have issues here.. I have none of them for PS4/Vita. only AC games I own are on disc for 360 (1+2)

4th week: pass. no interest

5th week: Batman. hmm.. probably a pass as well. prices/games will be the decision.

6th week: Pass. maybe for DA:I, maybe.. gonna need to be a big discount.

7th week: GTA. hmmm.... I got GTA V with my PS4, I own all GTA games ever made on disc.. buy them digital? hmmm...hard sell for me.

8th week: CoD. 100% pass. I don't play FPS's on a console... never will. Mouse/KB (Logitech G13) or not at all.

Yeah, it's something I think I would enjoy playing in short spurts but I have plenty to keep me busy for now. I'll wait for a deeper discount, thanks.

If Hotline Miami 2 is cross buy I think it will be my day one selection of the spring fever titles.

Has anyone bought a PSN card that didn't work? I bought a card several months ago and just scratched off the code now and it was invalid. I don't remember which retailer I bought it from let alone have the receipt. I hope I'm not out $50 and someone here has a similar experience they can share.

So two months of projected sales... I don't think I'll need to participate in any of it.  I own most every game in the franchises I'm interested in (GTA, AC, Batman, GoW).  The few I don't own I want on retail (mainly GoW Ascension). Still, there will probably be publisher sales and other stuff so it's probably not a full 2 month break for me.

Same - I bought a $50 card months ago from BestBuy I think but can't find the receipt anywhere and the code didn't work.

Fred Dutton 27 February, 2015 @ 5:24 pm 3.6

Sorry to keep you good folks waiting. I appreciate you’re all really keen to see the line-up and that it’s frustrating having to hang on a bit longer than usual. Alas, we’re still not quite ready to make the announcement. I can’t give you a firm time at present as to when the post will go live, but we’re working to get it to you as soon as possible. It may well be next week at this stage.

PS+ March 2015:

PS4: The Order 1886, Bloodbourne

PS3: GTAV, Destiny

PSVita: Tearaway, Donkey Kong 64
Just like Sony to dump their garbage (The Order: 1886) on us loyal PS Plus subscribers. Mediocre month for me. Also, Destiny and GTA 5 better be cross-buy or i'm canceling my subscription.

Donkey Kong 64 is not only cross-buy but also cross save with the N64 version.
