:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

Looks like the Spring Fever promotion was somewhat a flop, games were about $5 too expensive or it would have been far more successful in my opinion.

This fixes everything!
I finally found a copy of The Order to rent.

IMO they could have released a 2+ hour animated movie sold exclusively on the PSN store digitaly. And put in another 2+ hours of actual gameplay, put in just a few cutscenes, added MP and Co-op, and sold them as a combo/movie tie-in. I'd bet it would have sold much better, and not received the flack it did. (put the actual animated movie on the PS4 disc as a "bonus", and only playable on a PS4)

As a movie, it's pretty good.

As a game? meh. (looks great and I didn't run into any playability issues, it's just way too broken up and short)

But damn, we now have PHOTO MODE!!!!!1!! The Order 1886 will now be my vote for GOTY!

i can not remember the last time sony event put out a good vita game on the PSN+
Are you talking Sony published? Oreshika and Helldivers, the same week. Only a month ago -- and Oreshika was a 'full sized retail' game for only $20 in the US.

If you're not talking Sony published,

3/3: La Mulana

3/10: Hotline Miami 2
3/17: soldner x-2

3/24: Metal Slug 3 (and Axiom Verge cross buy, though it's not out yet)

3/31: Toukiden: Kiwami

4/14: Titan Souls

There you go - shmups, rpgs, hunting games, platformers, and more, all highly regarded, all in recent memory. Plus lots of other games in other genres that may not be quite as good or popular, but will appeal to some people. Most of those weeks had 3-5 vita releases.

If you want to turn up your nose at all those games, that's on you. If you want to pretend they don't exist, or don't count, that's on you. Not Sony. Vita has more games coming out for it than most humans could possibly keep up with.

Heck, I'm still working on Oreshika, let alone the rest.

Agreed, the releases were solid, but the discount just wasn't compelling enough. A slightly higher discount or bundle price would have seen a stronger showing (obviously).

I'm pretty sure slidecage is either trolling (in some weird way) or just wants to be negative. He might even be doing his negative Vita rants for supposed comedic value at this point since so many people recognize it. Regardless, you are likely wasting your time.

I am not sure what is more irritating to read... slidecage saying idiotic things, or watching people try to reason with him. seems like if he's maintaining his position after a few responses, obviously he's not changing his mind. at that point a smarter person should just shrug and let him piss and moan, not like his opinion matters anyway.

Come on affa, don't engage slidecage. You know better than that.

Wish TOHR would go on sale again
That's why you just buy everything when it's on sale.

Helldivers seems to be the most successful of the bunch getting up to third for PS4 sales when you take out the $1 Surgeon Simulator.

actually, i was more just interested in seeing what's been released in the past month.

i don't expect slidecage to suddenly change his mind or anything, he's been claiming sony has been pissing all over him for years now (his words, not mine).

but it was fun listing all those great games released just in the past month... maybe someone on the fence will eventually buy a vita. too many games.

The two high profile titles so far made the Top 10, which is pretty good in the midst of $1 games and big retail titles. I'm expecting Axiom Verge and Titan Souls to make it for April.

Gotta admit I laughed a little seeing how the best selling PS3 DLC was mostly Call of Duty related. People are going to be mad once next week's Call of Duty sales drop.

Bring on more Destiny. I honestly had more fun playing that than Halo.

Yeah, I bought a Vita from a friend who decided that, after owning it for a month (which means 1 month after it came out, cause he bought it day 1) , he didn't want it anymore. So he sold me his Vita day 1 bundle (Vita 3G model, case, 4gb memory card) plus the 16gb memory card he bought to go with it, plus the digital code for Super Stardust Delta that he got for activating the 3G, for $250.

I have felt many things about the Vita, but regret has never been one of them.

I can't believe we still have two more weeks of Spring Fever. The worst two months of PSN ever besides that outage month. Who the heck locked us into a single franchise sale per week and thought we'd love it? I certainly don't love it. Cheers to GTA for this week, and CoD finishing up this tragic drought.

Crossing fingers for a sub $40 deal on GTA V. I kinda liked the 8 week sale, I was able to trade in a few physical copies with a +30% bonus, turn it into the digital copies. So far out a whopping $0.22 and I need GTA V to drop to $39.00 or below and I make money on the whole sale.

(Watch it be $55 now   :wall: )

It's fine as long as they bring the deals for each franchise. I bought quite a bit during the Assassin's Creed and Batman sales, but that Dragon Age sale was just weak tea, 50% off or less.

I'm guessing full price GTA V with a free $20 shark card. For PS4.

I'd be surprised to see GTAV on PS4 for more than $10 off by itself and full price with a shark card bundled in for free.
Sadly, I have a feeling this is what we'll get. They haven't budged much on sales in the past. $40 would be much lower than any of the previous sale prices.

Could care less about the GTA sale. Hoping for a few random PSTV compatible games in today's sales.

Aside from that, just sitting idle until Shovel Knight comes out.

Got GTAV from Best Buy with a Target PM for $40. Would rather get some other games on sale. I also doubt they would want to try to take away from the pc sales.

Wow that's fantastic. Day 1 buy on PS4! Would love to see a Vita physical release too, but I doubt that will happen.

Edit: Wow not coming out until September? Will probably double dip anyway.

I believe GTA5 for the PS4 isn't sold by itself on the PSN store. It's only offered as a bundle with the Great White Shark Cash Card.

It would be nice if the original backers got a free physical copy of Shovel Knight.
Physical copies of games are relatively expensive to produce (compared to digital releases). I feel we need to pay to support future physical releases when they are available. I bought the Retro City Rampage PS4 physical copy even though I already owned the digital one, and ordered the Vita physical release as well. Would love to see a physical Vita release of Shovel Knight, but I doubt they'd bother.
