:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

once again pure crap for the vita. it would not shock me if they do away with PSN+ on the vita side its been pure crap indie titles all freaking year besides that one FPS game

might as well just sell off the remaning 4 psn cards i got at cost cause wont be renewing
lol

Need Suggestions. My PS3 harddrive is pretty much full, I have the 80GB old one. Is it worth upgrading my PS4 to a 1TB and using my 500GB in my PS3. Or should I just wait to get a 2TB hdd for my PS4 and use the 1TB one in my PS3.
That's what I did with my PS4 day 1. More is always better with these systems, especially the PS4.

This is one of the better PS Plus months for me. Almost bought MGS V a few times recently for $10-$15 glad I held out. Interested in trying out Call of Juarez too. If I like any of the others that's always a plus too. Most likely I'll download all of them and not touch them for months.

I bought the 2TB HDD along with my PS4, and installed it as soon as I took the PS4 out of the box. I don't buy a lot of digital media, because I prefer the physical copies, but I knew sooner or later I would need a bigger hard drive than the 500GB that came with the PS4. I would rather not have to deal with transferring 500GB HDD and having to worry about everything else transferring correctly over to a new hdd, so I just did it out-of-the-box.

Don't waste the 49 cents. The movie edition is for a previous version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire that was discontinued on PSN so it's useless. I bought it when it cost $1, and that was $1 wasted since I couldn't use it.
Thanks - They really should remove the DLC from the store.

2TB for PS4, it fills up really quick. 1TB for PS3. Try to get 7200RPM drives or Seagate Hybrid Drives as they are much faster.

all 4 cards are gone for 30 each thank for the people who took them

Alright I'm buying Oreshika even though I was hoping for $10. Rock Boshers I'm not quite sure what to make of it.

Eldritch did not like the ending to GZ, confirmed deviant or confirmed normal, depending on his outlook on snukes.
I personally found it cheap, exploitative, and distasteful.

I bought it earlier this year when it was part of the $.90 flash sale and only played the first race. Maybe during this summer I'll give it another shot.
I also paid $0.90 during the flash sale and to this day it's the only game I've ever paid any amount of money for and deleted immediately after playing it... lol

I finally caved and bought Rock Boshers DX, haven’t played it yet (of course). Main theme from the game reminds me of classic Amiga games. It starts out a little rough, but is a great little chip tune. You can play it at the bottom of the webpage for the game:

http://tikipod.com/rockboshersdx/

Link-battle is when one of your characters teamed up with another one to perform a special, more devastating attack. But it doesn't sound like Oreshika has it. It doesn't matter for me, since I had just purchased Soul Sacrifice Delta and Freedom Wars for $5 each during the last PSN Flash Sale, so I can wait for Oreshika to drop further.
Oh it does have that then. Sortof. Characters can combine special attacks to do more damage. Instead of activating immediately the attack activates on the next turn of the first person to cast the special attack. The attack itself doesn't change into a new special, but the damage modifier increases for each party member linking the attack.

I thought link-battle must be some kind of system in which one combat sequence leads to another to simulate some kind of battlefield, like in The Last Remnant.

Huh. When I think "link battle" I think of battling a fellow player like in Advance Wars or Pokémon. Brings to mind pre-wifi Game Boys that required physical link cables to set up battles or trades.

Now all he has to do is dump his Vita, and he won't have anything to complain about anymore.
Until they announce their secret plan to release a brand new AAA quality Vita game each month that they've been developing in secret and will be PS+ exclusive and only available that one month then delisted.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/05/28/wander-coming-to-ps4-on-june-4th/

Wander is out for PS4 on 6/4 and HSS a new trailer. This is a noncombat MMO where you can transform into a few forms to explore the world and see what you can find.

OlliOlli2 has a new update today that adds a new 4-player local MP mode. They also announced that they hit 2 million downloads with the help of PS+ and a lot of positive buzz.

Solid month of PS+ offerings on the way. Futuridium is one I've had my eye on for a while and Cloudberry Kingdom looked too difficult to justify purchase but I'll definitely try it out now. I picked up Gunslinger in a previous sale and haven't played it yet but I got it for cheap so no big lose there.

It's nice knowing that when I do finally get a PS4 I'll have MGS:GZ, inFamous Firstlight, Transistor, Outlast, Oddworld, and a bunch of other stuff ready to play right away.

Same here. I got my PS4 last week. Installed a 2 TB hard drive and now I'm in the process of downloading all the PS+ titles I've been adding to my list over the last two years. I have some time off from work in June and all I plan on doing is binge gaming. Can't freaking wait.

I don't foresee that when they just came out and said it was a legacy device

PS+ looks pretty good this month.

I have the PS3 version of Ground Zeroes, but my son that only plays the PS4 will like getting the PS4 version to check out.

I actually have wanted to try the Call of Juarez series out so there is a big plus for me.

Futuridium EP I have on iOS and I didn't enjoy it.  It's not Starfox style but more flying around in the same area over and over and over. Maybe it'll be better on a console?  I just don't remember it being Fun.

Cloudberry Kingdom ticked too many negative boxes for me.  I don't like random level based platformers nor do I like platformers that are too overwhelming with stuff going on.  The video for this just made me think I would hate it.  For free, Maybe I'll try it.

I don't know anything about the other two games.  Overall, for me it's a decent enough month.  I get one game I really want and for PS4 I get one that I know will get played.

For me though beyond the free stuff I really like PS+ for those crazy discounts.  I'd imagine I'll renew this December without even questioning it.  Just over $4 a month (at full price) and I get plenty of savings on actual purchases and free games to play.  If you aren't afraid to buy digital stuff then it is a heck of a good deal (not to mention needing it for PS4 online).  I could imagine a PSV gamer that only buys retail games and hates indies wouldn't find much use in it, but for the rest of us with more systems it is a great deal.

Is anyone else having trouble buying Oreshika? Keeps saying I'm not eligible to purchase or download the content. But my PS+ subscription doesn't expire for years, and it lets me add everything else from the sale to my cart.

I'm really ticked because Oreshika is the only thing I want from the sale.

Yeah, I checked and I'm not able to add it to my cart either. Try it directly from the Vita as I was able to get to a checkout page there but I'm not interested in buying it.

I have it for Playstation Mobile on the Vita (it was free for a while I think unless what I have is only a demo - need to play more). It's very much like those old ZX Spectrum and Amstrad games I never got to grow up with because I grew up in 'Murica (but getting an Amiga 500 in 1987 and playing UK imports soothed that wound).

It's a pretty fun game with charming text and really cool presentation. From what I've played it is indeed a puzzly arcade action game and the variety within is really good. The levels are quite varied but what I love most about the presentation is that everything is based on a crisp "block". I love tight design like that for these kinds of games. I hope that makes sense.

I'm probably going to buy this version over the weekend. I love when indie devs embrace some of the "limitations" of older systems/engines but come up with something even fresher (Shovel Knight).

This is different because they are committing to recent releases. And Deals with Gold copied PS+, as PS+ was always an exclusive members-only discounts and free games subscription, which Gold adopted both of later on.
That's not true. Xbox Live had Gold only discounts on stuff long before Playstation Plus even existed.

The free games they definitely copied, but not the discounts for paid subscribers.

Start with Transistor or Resogun. There both pretty damn great.

The funny thing is, he actually would like many of the games he doesn't give a chance to based on what i know he's enjoyed in the past.
Maybe slidecage should use the money he got from selling his PS+ cards and buy a PS4 and take advantage of all the PS4 free games.

Oh, but wait, he sold all of his PS+ cards so he won't get be able to get anything for free.

Ah! It's the Gift of the CAGi.

I worked really hard on this so I hope you all appreciate it.

I want to get a new PSN avatar, but they are more money than I want them to be. I want the RE 5 Wesker one, but it is $1 or $1.50 for a pack of like 8 RE avatars. I just want the one, but I might as well buy a pack for fifty cents more.

My brother already bought Ground Zeroes on release, but I am excited for it since having a digital copy will be nice. I believe it is only like 6 GB as well.

I waited until there was a 10% off code to buy an avatar. I had to get some kind of deal. I'm using Claire from Code Veronica. PS+ has the Code Veronica pack of five avatars for the same price as a single Code Veronica avatar.

I can tell you're a cheapass about avatars because you went and stole mine.

Some info on Persona 4 Dancing All Night and the bonus stuff coming with the Disco Fever Edition and the regular release, plus a $50 MSRP:

When the clock strikes Midnight, a whole new kind of battle awaits Persona 4's Investigaton Team, because that's when a strange video appears on the internet and the unfortunate people who watched it have gone missing! Investigating the Midnight Stage and rescuing members of pop group Kanamin Kitchen set the scene in Persona 4: Dancing All Night, the upcoming story-driven music game for the PlayStation Vita handheld entertainment system. Available this fall, P4D will arrive in stores in both a Launch Edition as well as the Persona 4: Dancing All Night "Disco Fever" Edition! This special edition will be available in limited quantities based on pre-orders; the "Disco Fever" Edition will be $79.99/CA$99.99, and the Launch Edition of P4D will be $49.99/CA$59.99.

The "Disco Fever" Edition includes:

  • Two Discs Chock Full of Persona 4 Music Remixes: Hear the Persona 4: Dancing All Night soundtrack in all its glory! The two-disc CD set is full of original classics including "Pursuing My True Self," and "Shadow World,"new song arrangements including "Heartbeat, Heartbreak" and "Your Affection," remixes by artists including Lotus Juice, TK and Yuu Miyake, and completely new songs specifically composed for P4D!
  • Last Night a Vita Pouch Saved My Life: Protect your PS Vita in this custom P4D enameled pouch with a full color P4D design featuring Teddie in all his Elvis-esque jumpsuit glory on one side, and an embossed version of the P4D logo on the reverse. Not for sale in North America, the "Disco Fever" edition is the only way to get the exquisitely detailed pouch.
  • Costume Change: Two sets of paid DLC outfits will come with the "Disco Fever" Edition for free - Persona 3's Gekkoukan High School uniform set, and the summer break outfit set- to dress up Chie, Kanji, Rise, Naoto, and the rest of the human (sorry, Teddie) Investigation Team! The song "Never More" is also included as a bonus playable song.
  • All About that Bear: Never lose your keys or whatever else again with a golden Teddie keychain. Exclusive to North America, the gold (not real gold, of course) keychain comes embossed in the visage of all of Teddie's gloriousness, based on the belt buckle design on his P4D jumpsuit!
  • The Whole Package: All the items will come in a large collectible box with custom disco ball art (based on the Japanese Crazy Value Pack version of P4D)
Both the "Disco Fever" edition and the standard retail version pre-orders will include:

  • Cover Band: Preserve the sanctity of the PS Vita's display with a form-fitting skin to show off the very essence of P4D! Also exclusive to North America, the skin won't be sold separately. 10 PS Vita wallpapers are included and will perfectly match the outer decal. (The skin is designed to fit the most recent model of PS Vita)
Persona 4: Dancing All Night is a story-driven music game that takes place after the events in Persona 4. Players get pulled onto the MidnightStage when the spotlight turns to mega-idol Rise and her junior group, Kanamin Kitchen. Members of Kanamin Kitchen have disappeared and it's up to the Investigation team to mount a rescue mission - only they discover the same monstrous Shadows from the Midnight Channel. To make matters even worse, their Persona abilities are rendered ineffective, and The Shadows in P4D can only be defeated by dance, so bust out powerful dance moves to save the day!

P4D is exclusive to the PS Vita (PSTV compatible), with fully-voiced story mode and challenging music-rhythm gameplay spanning more than 25 full songs. This includes songs from the original game, created by legendary Persona series music composer, Shoji Meguro and their remixes. In addition to the retail versions, the game will be available digitally on the PlayStation Network for $49.99/CA$59.99.
The Atlus tax from their 3DS releases now arrives on the Vita. If the pouch is similar in quality to the Persona Q case for the 3DS, the special edition might be worth it for that alone.
