I've heard a lot of good things about the Armorlite case from Joytech:
He got one already? Holy shit where? It's not even out in Japan yet.
seriously, id like to know too >__

I will ask my cousin the next time i see him. Overall I would give the case an A on protection, but a F on portability.
I like that last one. Anyone know of anywhere else to get one like it without the graphics on it? Maybe in different colors as well?
There are several cases out there with the same design.

Here's one at Circuit City:

Hori also makes some that come in pink/white/blue/black:

I believe Gamestop sells one with their logo on it...yuck.
Perfect! That white Hori one looks like exactly what I am looking for.

Thanks for the link!
Glad I could help!

Great choice by the way, I have a black Hori and it's been great for my needs.

J&R has been selling the black pouch as part of a Hori package for some time. I've been trying to get to a product page, but J&R's server is currently being updated.

That said, I quite like the Hori pouch, which seems far more tasteful and better constructed than the annoyingly designed and badly made equivalent I bought when the 2000 first came out and there was nothing else.

Been out at Gamestop for at least a month now. I got one yesterday, but I returned it today. The case sucks. The lid/cover doesn't even hold still. Once you open up the lid, it just flaps loosely. I do like the grips on it though.

I returned it for one of the Nerf cases at Gamestop. It is by far, one of THE best and most comfortable cases I have held in a long time. Plus its only $14.99. It's exactly like the Playgear by Logitech, except it's Nerf!

I've tried out a few cases (even tracked down a monstrous G-Pak, heh!), but hands-down my absolute favorite is the basic model from RDS:
PSP case
I carry it everywhere--small enough to be portable and unobtrusive, but large enough to carry plenty of supplies. I usually have my slim with the fat battery, 3 or 4 UMD's, a cleaning cloth, earbuds, and sometimes a spare battery. It has a carbiner clip, so I snap it onto a belt loop if I don't want to carry it.

Circuit City frequently has them on sale for $10 (like last week).

Word of warning: their deluxe version of this case, which is larger, was a real let-down. It's much fatter, but it has extra padding, so the interior space is about the same. I much prefer the smaller one.

I never used the basic case from RDS, but I did just pick up the 'Deluxe' today, and am very pleased. I wanted a case that could hold the power cord/brick in addition to the usual stuff, so it is just what I needed.

Front pocket holds a 2000 quite snugly. Rear pocket holds anywhere from 4 UMDs and earbuds, memory sticks, USB cable etc. Or you can go 8+ UMDs in the rear pocket as well. The center pocket can hold the AC adapter, car charger, etc.

If you don't have the desire to carry your AC power cord/brick with you, then the basic case is probably a better choice.

The deluxe is listed at $19.99 on CC's website, and I got them to pricematch (24.99 at the store) today at the brick and mortar while picking up Patapon for $9.99.

Depending on what you need, either of the RDS cases are a nice choice.

I just picked up a God Of War bundle yesterday at Circuit City (using that $40 off a $199 purchase at Circuit City posted elsewhere on this site) but I was in a little bit of a hurry so I didn't have time to shop for accessories. I think I may head back there and pick up one of these when I get a chance. Thanks for the recommendation.

the rds cases are nice but they are very snugged... it barely fits if you try to put a protective case over the psp slim. they were 9.99 last week at circuit city but the price went back up to 14.99. some places even have it at 19.99, insane!

Thinking about getting that Joytron crystal case for my God of War slim that I just purchased today. Does it add a lot of bulk to the system? Any pics with the God of War Slim and the Joytron case?

Thanks :)
