Purchase MS Points Only In Blocks of 400

CAGiversary!
When paying full price for MS points from Xbox Live you should always order them in blocks of 400. Here's Why:

400 MS Points = $4.99
800 MS Points = $9.99 / 2x400 MS Points = $9.98
1600 MS Points = $19.99 / 4x400 MS Points = $19.96
4000 MS Points = $49.99 / 10x400 MS Points = $49.90
6000 MS Points = $74.99 / 15x400 MS Points = $74.85

Ok, so you're only saving pennies for the hassle of doing multiple transactions BUT, each CC transaction MS processes costs them a fee. Now I have long felt that their should be some sort of price break in exchange for buying MS points in larger blocks but not only is their no price break you end up paying pennies more while MS saves money on processing multiple transactions. Maybe if word gets out and enough people start purchasing MS points this way, they will start offering a price break.

I didn't find anything when doing a forum search so I apologize if this has been discussed here before.

The odds are better that a unicorn will come to your house and start shitting pixie dust and MS points.

stupid

save a few pennies and waste time calling up your credit card issuer to explain a dozen identical transactions was your doing and not fraud

haha. Yea, they'll probably just raise the price on the lower blocks.

I do it every time I buy MS points and have never had a call from my CC company.

The charge for MS is based on a percentage. They're not paying any more if you do it 100 times or just once.

well, maybe its just me, but last time i bought ms points direct from microsoft, i got hit with a $1 "credit card fee"... its not my card as it is the only time i have ever paid a fee on anything so i decided not to buy ms points directly from them unless i have no other option

Just pointing out that 10x400 MS Points is $49.90, not $49.99.
That's all.

If you're paying $5 for 400 points then you've already lost.

I know they don't go on sale too often, but I've managed to get almost every 1,600 point card that I've bought for about $16. Wal-mart/Amazon offers it in regular intervals.

Logically speaking, stores/Amazon must get some sort of cut for selling the cards, so you'll be "sticking it to microsoft" more by buying points from a 3rd party.
