Question about 360 games in HD

Ok so the games support 720p, my tv supports 420p and 1080i, no 720p. so i was wondering if the games would just run in 1080i? or would in not run in HD at all since my tv doesn't support 720p. btw my tv's model number is d52w20.
 
I've heard it's a matter of prefrence, as 720p and 1080i are both good. EGM recommended for those that have a set that only does 1080i, to wait until 1080p televisions are released at a reasonable price.
 
what kind of TV do you have?....that sounds like my situation. I have a 42" RCA HDTV, and the only way for me to get 1080i is to use the DVI hookup. Kind of sucks cause 420 isn't really HD, it's Enhanced TV. Hope MS comes out with a DVI cable sometime in the future.

I currently play xbox games in 480p.... looks pretty damn... good... on this TV.. I rec it to every1... if you have the money...

720p is suppose to be a big jump... in term of details...

even tho.. gran turismo 4... supports 480P & 1080i...

there wasn't much difference between the 2... both looks amazing...
only the in gameplay mode is HD... so the tv will flicker when switchin over...
