Question about Gamecube Broadband Adapter

I recently picked up a Gamecube Broadband Adapter new, still on the card. It is the black adapter.
I noticed on Amazon that there are two colors listed.

The listing with the silver one pictured is more expensive. But I noticed a lot of people posting on the listing that they are selling the black one in the listing for the silver one.

My question is this. What in the world is the difference between the two? I need to find out before I list mine.

There's no difference between the two as far as I know. Theoretically one might be "more rare" than the other, but even that seems pretty unlikely. I've only ever seen black ones, so maybe the gray one is from Japan?

The second customer review on the gray one is amusing.

haha, i noticed that review as well. I guess because the person's name who posted the listing.

Not much legit use for these anymore. Gamecube LAN parties never were big and PSO I think already shut down the servers. Hmm what on earth could peoplewant with these anymore? Yes that was sarcasm.

Well since the official Sega servers shuts down, I guess it's not as illegal if you went online to the privately owned server @ schtserv.com (Blue Burst too since its no longer in operation in America/Europe)
