Question about Paypal

I need to use paypal to pick up some tickets for a group of us total cost over $200 and I want to make sure that if something goes wrong I will be fine getting my money back, have had issues in the past.

I will be using a credit card but wondering do I send payment as purchase/personal and what category? If it even makes a difference probably a dumb question.

Unless they either dump the money in a bank account, you'll be fine. If you end up getting fake tickets, just do a "not as described" dispute. Do it as a purchase for "goods" when sending the money.

Also, absolutely do not mark it as "gift". If you send it that way, you'll screw yourself out of filing a dispute if something happens. Because PP does not offer protection when you send money marked as "gift".

Thanks for the help, now if they do dump it into a bank account wont the credit card company fight for it?

You'll be able to dispute it through Paypal if you send it as a payment, and if that falls through, you can file with your credit card company.
