Hey all,
I just got a Slim a few months ago and have been managing with 4GB while transferring things back and forth from an external I have all my old stuff saved on (from my old hard drive before I traded in for a Slim). I finally had the funds to upgrade to a real hard drive.
I didn't want to go 3rd party, because I'm picky like that, and I bought a Microsoft-branded 250GB off Amazon from a third-party seller. I couldn't get the enclosure fully open, but I pried it back enough to see that it's a WD Scorpio Blue drive inside... which I didn't think Microsoft used.
Does anyone know what drives Microsoft usually uses in these? I'm thinking I probably got screwed and need to send it back (in which case I'll end up using a SATA drive of my own).
