Question on Speed Racer DVDs

At $10 a piece at Target, BJs and I'm sure somewhere else, it's hard to resist buying the classic, '60's, horribly-yet-hilariously dubbed cartoon.

My question is I could've sworn that volume 1 had some kind of slip case. Reading the top of the DVD it states that it's version 3.

Any chance that version 1 or 2 had a slip case, and if so, where could I find one?

The first release, which I would imagine would be version 1, had a slipcase with a rubber front that simulated a tire. The second release, version 2 I assume, has a slipcase without the rubber.

Sorry, I have no idea where you could get either of these, I think it goes without saying that they are out of print.
