Quick question about computer RAM

Does mixing and matching brands of RAM effect a computer? I need an answer as soon as possible, because I know about the type of memory that I need, but just need to know if you need to match brands.

Nope, mix the brands all you want as long as it's the same type.

Mixing brands isn't really recommended, but as long as you keep them the same size and speed you should be ok.

No you should not have any issues. If they are of different speed then both will run at the speed of the slower one. For dual channel it is recommended to have all sticks from the same manufacturer, otherwise it does not matter.
