I'm an avid car game fan, but I'm a little on the fence with this game. Seems behind the times a little. I may rent first or see if it gets cheap fast.

SinBin is cool though. Their pc games like GTR/GTR2 and GTL is great.

Seems to be lacking in a few area's (graphics especially), and considering i have GTR Evolution on my PC, i'll be passing this up.

I'd certainly rent. I bought it and I'm having fun with it thus far, though I need to stop with my drifting/high-speed turn habits I picked up from GRID and PGR4.

If you can get past the graphic arguments that most reviews are making, this is a very fun game. At least the UK gets that, judging by the reviews thus far.

So... Anyone get this? I'm still on the fence about this game. Reviews and video on youtube don't help to figure out if the physics are good or not. Thanks

I've got it, I like it a lot and I'm a big fan of Racers.

The best way I can describe this game is it's a lot like a stripped down Forza 2 with more forgiving handling. The game doesn't look quite as good as Forza, there's very little if any support for modding the look of the cars but there's plenty of tuning options. It doesn't have as many tracks either I believe so the track repetetion could get annoying. I'd say it's more fun and less annoying than Forza 2.

There's a lot of things I like about it, like you can qualify for races so you don't always have to start at the back, thats a constant point of annoyance for me in racers (but thats probably just me), the career mode is quite well done from what I've seen so far.

I think it was worth $40, if you're a fan of the more simulator like racers then I'd say it's worth a go.

I think I have to agree with you. I caved and rented it. I like it but I don't think it's worth $40 maybe at most $30. It did feel a lot like Forza 2, I didn't think the graphics were THAT bad like people made them out to be. I turned off all the aids except for ABS and it got weird at times in the turns where as Forza 2 it's a bit more natural where you can "feel" it coming around and you can start drifting instead of just watching yourself lose it. I think the greatest part about this game is the characteristic I thought made GRID (Only good quality of that game...) great too, the dramatization of speed. You really FEEL like you're going THAT fast by the sounds and looks of the onboard view.
