Ralph Baer has passed away...

CAGiversary!
I've met and talked with Nolan Bushnell... I wish I could have done the same with Ralph Baer. R.B. was truly a great visionary for video games, but also many forms of electronics and electronics entertainment, as you point out. We owe him alot... surely someone else would have done some of it, but not all of it and so early with such flair. Long Live Odyssey!

Thank you Mr.Baer.

I hope the Walt Disney's/Osamu Tezuka's of the industry at Sega like Yuji Naka and Yu Suzuki will be met with similar remembrance when they passed.

It's also so incredible to think the pioneers of gaming are still mostly alive.  Were the creators of film so overlooked when they passed in the 30's and 40's?  I mean, Baer will be remembered but I wonder if his work's significance will only be noted decades down the road.

There are some of us here that were little kids when the first footfalls of gaming happened, at least in terms of any consumer sense.
