Most of the stuff that Gamestop price drops tends to be in line with universal price drops, but because not all of them are, this thread is warranted. Also, if the price of the new item has dropped in price, expect the used item price to similarly follow suit and be $2-$5 less than its new retail price. Sometimes the used version drops first, but both are often around the same time.

Many of these items are sold out in stores since they're old and won't get restocked (Gamestop, after all, tends to make most of its money from selling used games), so you'll have to do a zip code store search for the appropriate title to hopefully find it in your area if you can't buy the item online.

All of this information is presented on the Gamestop website, but because of their new "Price Drop" algorithm, it doesn't really display when new price drops hit. Since I started keeping a running list for current platforms, I figure its easy enough to do a comparison to my lists every week. I generally run the reports once a week on Wednesday mornings, because I've noticed most price drops occur on Monday or Tuesday mornings so I wanted to catch those on the weekly report. If you find price drops sooner than my weekly Wednesday morning report, feel free to post them in the thread so others can get a "head start". I no longer have time to maintain this thread due to my new job but feel free to continue posting Gamestop price drops in this thread or if anyone wants to take over just let me know. Thanks!

The "Eternal" GS Coupon. It's stickied at the top of the forum. The perpetually refreshing 10% off used purchases (excluding hardware of course). Though looking at that 10% coupon makes me sad because I remember the great few months I had with the Cellfire coupon.
 
Picked up :ps3: Brothers in Arms Limited Edition for $20 today.

It was in the Gamedays bin and had the red sticker on it. Noticed the Web site reflects the price drop, but it's not in the Gamedays listing.

I think that may be an actual drop your store is lumping in. If you check the website the used price has also dropped, which isn't the case with Gamedays titles

I picked up the game for $8 at a circuit city closeout and...it has a lot of heart, but no compelling gameplay to back it up.
 
Hey guys, a couple of nice DS drops for anyone who is interested.

:ds: Deep Layrinth $10
:ds: Neves $10

Both of these are pretty good titles for the price, so I would recommend it, especially if you can find Deep Labyrinth used since its only $6.99 for a used copy. I already have one on hold for me at a store and gonna pick it up later. And Neves is also a relatively rare game. Was a pretty low key game when it was released by Yukes/Atlus. Nice little puzzle game. Pretty fun. Its a great price for it at $10. Good luck.

There were some other drops, but nothing worth noting.

I actually got Neves for $9.99 from Gamestop last Fall, so I don't think that's a new drop.

Nice drop on my World, My Way by the way.

Considering most people decide if something is a deal based off how much it used to be, GameStop is practically giving those Wii Resorts away! $50 is a steal compared to it's old price!

Annoys me so much at work when people see a price on an item and ask if thats the normal price or not to decided if its a deal. If you like the price, get one.
 
Anyone know if I bought some 360 games today and then got the coupon for 20% off tonight if I can take them in with it and get that percent off (return/rebuy) kind of thing?

I heard from a few buddies said that it was a fun game. But like all Ubisoft games it will drop price quickly (just like it did)

So I am debating jumping on at the $26.99 plus 10% + Edge might be worth a look. Kind of mad that this just missed out of the :360: coupon

It is really strange what they are doing with this. The 360 version was $29.99, then it dropped to $19.99 just after release, I believe, stayed there for a couple of weeks, and went back to $29.99 a day or two ago. I believe I checked the PS3 version this morning, and it was still listed at $29.99, as it was during the entire preorder phase. I wonder if it will go back up to $29.99 after a couple of weeks.

I've been playing the 360 version a bit, bought used with the 20% off coupon last week. It does have some major problems, but it isn't as bad as I expected, so far.

People post stuff they might see, but they don't always know if it's a new price or not.
 
Not much I have seen lately at my store. I know tales of vesperia went down to around 24.99 used a week ago and blue dragon finally went down to 14.99 (still 10-13 new most places tho)

Not sure if anyone posted Infinite undiscovery/Last Remnant are also 29.99 new/24.99 used. Also HAWX went back up to 60 bucks for some reason. I guess it was only a temp price drop
 
The really good price drops seem to get their own threads.

But yeah, this thread is pretty much useless now that no one is able to provide a complete and timely list the new markdowns.

Yeah, but it was about 10 times quicker to see them listed in this thread then to go through all the price drops for each system on the GS website.
