red seeds profile $33.50 shipped (ebay)

Just note that the language section of the auction may not be accurate. The Japanese and Asian versions of the PS3 version on Play-asia do not mention English language, and in fact one review specifically mentions there is NO English in the game (apparently not even in menus).
 
nvm, just saw this on play asia, and unless the guy is a jackass....

great game.... if you know who to read Japanese
well....... the title says it all - it is a great quirky original survival horror game that does have a very twin-peaks like feel to it, the graphics and music aren't the best, but the biggest letdown of all was..... it is completely in Japanese !! There is NO English language menu at all, so..... unless you know how to read Japanese or are willing to basically guess what is written on every single word that comes onto the screen..... you're not going to get very far in this.
 
I was trying to look up if English is included, but there's mixed answers everywhere. Can anyone confirm it does or doesn't have English? If it does, I would most definitely buy it .
 
the audio is all in english but subtitles arent. so yes you will be able to understand all the cut scenes

i repeat: THIS GAME HAS ENGLISH AUDIO

Do you have a source for that info though? As of right now, it seems to be the seller's description against Play-Asia's.

"Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong notes the PlayStation 3 release has a language option. You can play Red… I mean Deadly Premonition in Japanese or English if you get the “Asian” version. Of course, you’ll have to import it and that will cost way more than a domestic copy of Deadly Premonition"

Not too fast. If you go to Sony's Hong Kong page it doesn't have English under the languages .

Even if it does have English audio, I think it's pretty important to see if it's possible to play without reading the Japanese subtitles. I highly doubt everything is voiced over.

So after looking around, what is the difference between Red Seeds Profile on the PS3 and Deadly Premonition on Xbox 360?

Seems like the Japanese subtitles/menu is the only difference.

wow, really wish I didn't spend all my money now.

also, to clear up, or maybe even add a bit of confusion, my understanding is that asian version of the game is in japanese with english subtitles, the japanese version however does not have the english subs.
 
Just to be clear, no import version of the game has English Subtitles. The original Siliconera story was just based on the fact that the Playstation Asia listing of Red Seeds Profile had an "English" designation. The game has English voice over, but not English subtitles. Not all of the game's dialog is voiced. I asked Playstation Asia about this, and they removed the English designation on their site, just to prevent confusion that while the the game has English voice work, the subtitles are not in English. I have confirmed this myself in various places, and yes, with Swery via twitter. Asking him "Does Red Seeds Profile have English subtitles? (in Asia or Japan versions?)" yields "No it doesn't. MMM I think it was the ignition forums? whoever brought the game over, I specifically remember them saying something like hold off for ps3 owners (the moderators), maybe you can verify it for me, it would be under the deadly premonition forum.
