Reliable External HDD

I finally can afford getting a good sized HDD to clear up my computers but don't want to get something that's going to die on me. I wont be taking this thing anywhere so any type works for me.


I'm looking for something with a large capacity (pref around or above a terrabyte), good price, and reliable that is Mac/PC compatible, though I can reformat if I have to.

firewire or usb or both are options as well.
