I was eyeing to pick up Resident Evil 5 after putting it off for awhile. The thing is, it seems to still be priced at 40 dollars (with Amazon listing theirs new for about 36). Knowing that the Xbox 360 version is simple RE5 with a DLC token, I was wondering if it was cheaper for me to just grab a used RE5 and just get the DLC separately? I wasn't able to find the prices for the DLC but all I really want are the 2 extra missions. I don't care much for Versus or alternate costumes.

Would I be saving money doing this?

You'll save some cash buy getting a used copy of the original RE5, and then waiting for a sale on the DLC (which has happened twice already, I believe). Also, if you buy your microsoft points at a discount, as most CAGs do, you'll save even more on the DLC.

agree with above. i have re5 vanilla for xbox, haven't even played yet, and bought the dlc on sale. it happens, but not very often so be warned you could be waiting for half a year for it to be dotw.
