Does this thing work well with the original NES games or do you still have to blow in the cartridge and still deal with the glitches?

Either get an original NES or do a mod to the Retro Duo to fix the sound.

Don't blow the cartridges! Use a Q-tip and some rubbing alcohol.

The sound is just plain bad. I enjoy good, quality audio and get that NES games aren't exactly most capable audio medium, but even then, it's hard to ignore how bad the sound is. Most games sound sketchy and distorted. The picture also isn't as good as the real thing.

If you fix the sound with that mod, then it'll be much better. Otherwise you'll need original hardware.
