I have a dilemma. I've been looking for this Robotech boxset http://http://www.robotech.com/store/viewproductpreord.php?id=102
for awhile, and thought I had it purchased from deepdiscount, but they cancelled my order for me, then neglected to tell me about it. Anyway, I know there's an entirely different market for Anime, and as I know very little about it, I figured I'd ask the CAG community for a hand. I'm looking to get this as a gift for a friend, so sooner, rather than later would be nice. I've checked the usual suspects already (DDD, Amazon, Buy...) but they all show it as being backordered. Any help would be appreciated on this one. Thank you for your time, in advance of course... ;)

Thank you for the help. I'll look into the other boxset as well. I'm not really sure which one he would want, but I'm sure he'd be happy w/ either one of them.
 
You can get the complete series on ebay for about $50. I ordered the import all region set last year and it is excellent.

You want the Protoculture box set, not the one you posted. Do what someone else suggested, just go to a Best Buy that has it in stock and buy it.

I would buy that if I didn't already own all 7 Extended Edition sets. >_< lol I was young and naive back then, NOW I'm smart enough to wait for boxsets for this very reason (ie- boxsets are much, much, cheaper)!
 
Damn it I just might have to buy this. Too bad it doesn't include the subbed original Macross, Southern Cross and Mospeda.

I need this to forget the turd "Shadow Chronicles"
