Just ordered this from Amazon and I am wondering if it comes with a cord for the Guitar or not. I just ordered the basic game not the package that includes a guitar. Im going to have to find a guitar now, but Do I also need any speciality item for the Guitar to work with the Xbox360?

And any guitar should work (from what I hear) as long as it's in working condition. A cheap Squier/Epiphone should be fine.
