Rove vows revenge on Republicans who break ranks

Congressional sources said Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove has threatened to blacklist any Republican who votes against the president. The sources said the blacklist would mean a halt in any White House political or financial support of senators running for re-election in November.

"It's hardball all the way," a senior GOP congressional aide said.

The sources said the administration has been alarmed over the damage that could result from the Senate hearings, which began on Monday, Feb. 6. They said the defection of even a handful of Republican committee members could result in a determination that the president violated the 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. Such a determination could lead to impeachment proceedings.

The Bush administration is definitely more than a little worried about where things are going. That Rove would be threatening members of Congress really isn't news: what's news is that it looks like members of Congress are getting fed up enough about it to at least be willing to risk leaking this stuff. Only time will tell if they're fed up enough to risk publicly denouncing Bush's actions, though...
 
King Dubya wants to consolidate all power under him, so it's no surprise. What's sad about this is that 39% of Americans still support the traitor.

Well it seems you don't either, the Whip's job is push what the party leadership wants, not necessarily the presidents desires. Rove is actually doing his job as political advisor and Deputy Chief of Staff, he's just being a total dick about it because that's his way.

Because Rove holds either of those positons.

Also this isnt about matters of policy, this about giving W carte blanche to break whatever laws he wants.
