Saints Row The Third online pass/season pass

I bought a DLC season pass for Saints Row The Third from another Cag and havent picked up the game yet. If I buy a used copy will the season pass grant me multiplayer access or do I need to buy an online pass as well? If so I will get a new copy.

I'm pretty sure the DLC season pass was only available online and was $20 by itself, so you may have been sold only an online pass.

I already redeemed it and it says it is for the DLC and the upcoming Nyte Blade stuff. No mention of the online pass.
