Like title says.

Sam's Club has the Toshiba HD-D3 ( Same as the HD-A3 ) Clearanced out for $68.xx. This price should be universal but YMMV.

It includes:

Player Itself

Probably would get one but the 5 free movie deal expired. And isn't this one only 1080i? Still a pretty good deal though.

The A3 is 1080i only, but your TV will deinterlace if its 1080p.

The A30 has 1080/24 and 1080p, but it was terrible at doing 1080p...so its kinda useless in that regard. The A35 is the flagship one, but its more like $160+ if you can still find one.

Sending 1080i to a 1080p display is just flat out identical to sending it 1080p, since LCD's and Plasmas can only display progressive images anyhow, and the whole 1080p/24fps thing? Thats practically snake oil.

Wouldn't it just duplicate the interlaced lines that are there ?

It's not like it would 'connect the dots' to bridge the gaps .

If that's the case it wouldn't be as good as 1080p .
