There is no point even discussing this. Beyond stupid. Everyone wants their 15min of fame and will do anything to get it.

What happened to burning our effigies? Have our effigy-makers turned into pussies? What do people have to do, start taxing your fucking emails before you drop a gas-soaked rag-on-a-stick onto a poorly crafted simulacrum? In my day, I couldn't go to the butcher shop without seeing someone set off an effigy!

And man, I coulda done without reading the defence of their "art".
