Saving GC Games on Wii

Hey,

Maybe I just missed this, but as far as playing GC games on my Wii, will I need to buy a memory card to save them, or will I be able to save them onto the Wii SD card?

The current indication is that when playing Gamecube games you'll have to use the included memory card slot.

So, can you save Wii games to the SD card? Can you buy any SD card or does it have to be a Nintendo one?

I always got the impression you could only save onto GC memory cards with the included slot. Sort of how you could only save PS1 games on PS1 memory cards when playing on a PS2.

As I understand it PenguinMaster is correct. You must use GC memory cards to save GC games.

The internal memory and/or SD cards is for Wii game saves and virtual console games.

yeah, there are gamecube memory slots next to the gamecube controler ports, so you wont have a problem or have to move your saved data.

as far as keeping it all on one sd cord, i dont know.

Ya, I guess I should have clarified. I don't currently have a GC, but I'm planning on picking up some GC games that I missed out on. But I guess I'll have to get a memory card... and a controller... too.
