I'm listening to our public radio's station and they're doing 2 hours of "scary" goth and Industrial music.

What do you think are the scariest songs you've heard?

I'd have to say Skinny Puppy's "Stairs & Flowers" - it has lots of zombie moans.

King of Woolworth's "To The Devil A Donut" is also kinda freaky.

Aphex Twin has some creepy music. Not really scary though. Jonathan Coulton has a funny zombie office meeting song called "RE: Your Brains." Listening to that song on Halloween is the new listening to Alice's Restaurant on X-giving.

Nick Cave - The Kindness of Strangers (murder ballad)
Dead Man's Bone - In the room where you sleep
Beborn Beton - Another World
Misfits - Skulls, Last Caress, Halloween
Balzac - Human Blood, Monster I

all good stuff :)

I always thought The Cure's 100 Years was creepy.

Cannibal Corpse's Skin to Liquid is good, too, but it's an instrumental

Edit: I just thought up a few others:

Warlock by Skinny Puppy
P.E.T.R.O.L. by Orbital
Reptile by Nine Inch Nails

Pretty much just put on everything Akira Yamaoka has done, minus the poppy/electronic stuff. Of course that is all wonderful as well, just not scary.

A lot of black metal is kind of terrifying as well, like in a "secluded in a northern-European forest in the fall and you're probably going to be raped to death" kind of way. Gris is super-depressing and ethereal, but you have to be really looking to listen to it to enjoy it.

Gah, right when I saw "Rosemary" I knew exactly where it was going. Patton's intro is just beyond creepy. That's a pretty great looking list, I'm gonna have to check out a few of the songs I haven't heard.
