secure hdcp not found error WTF

ok so i rented we are marshall today, and wanted to see how it looks in my new halo edition 360. I put the game in the drive, and this huge xbox 360 logo pops up and in the buttom, it keeps giving me an error message saying "secur hdcp not found". I use a samsung 226bw computer monitor and it clearly states it's hdcp compatable. Does anyone know the solution to this, this is really frustrating??????????
 
I assume you have it through some DVI to HDMI adapter? Perhaps it's the adapter's fault... (doesn't this monitor use HDCP via the DVI port? Forgive me if I'm wrong about that...)
 
ya it does, it specifically says hdcp supported on the dvi port, i am not using a adapter, well it's a hdmi to dvi d cable, with no adapter.
