can someone with the iphone app look for the tiv for xblades ps3 for me?

my problem is that i almost depleted my gs credit via gc. and I probably blew threw several hundred at gc over three months now. my gc funds are growing while the gs ones are shrinking. so does anyone know of flips going gc to gs?

I wish I realized that. I forgot to buy Pipe Mania at GS yesterday, so I just completely skipped a GameCrazy. Oh well, their selection is always pretty abysmal, anyway.

While it is a shame that so many GC's closed down, it did result in the remaining GC's having a much better selection than before, as the stock from the closing stores got moved to the stores that aren't closing. Still not GS-level selection, but better than before.
 
does anyone have an "updated" list of GC stores that are still open? the iPhone app seems to be out dated... Scorch?

My local GC took a copy of Pipe Dreams and FFX, both PS2 from me last night. The store was pretty picked through as far a good b2g1 used values, but after some searching I found Tales of Vesperia SE, Tales of the Abyss (disc only) PS2, and RE5 360 for 46.xx after tax. Traded in 75.xx worth of GS and Target flips.

Special editon Vesperia was priced the same as the normal used edition - 24.99 before mvp. Someone had stashed it on the top shelf behind a bunch of crappy new 360 games.
 
Traded in a Pipe Mania for 9.xx and used the rest of my credit to score a copy of Super Mario Bros. Wii for $2.03 cash. Been wanting to use up my credit there for a while.

Your best bet would be to use the store locator on gamecrazy's homepage, then type in your ZIP.

epic facepalmmmmmm.. look for my price drop posts, dude. Red Faction Guerrilla (and it's not 2, Red Faction 2 came out on PS2 and XBox) went back up in price. Prototype is $25 new. Ghostbusters is $20 new.

Obviously, if you get them used, and have mvp, the profit margin is better. Good luck.
 
just got god of war (psp 4.xx) and the bigs 2 (ps3 13.xx) basically $10.xx for both games at target using the $10 off coupons

GOW filps for $8 and the bigs 2 (ps3) flips for $17.XX at GC

i just got credit at GC $100 spent mayb $30-40 at target

edit - this GC took in 5 copies of bigs 2 (ps3) bought from target

I wonder what would happen if someone took over one and it popped up as $80 bucks. Would they honor it? I have seen this before with TIV's for games that had $0.00 and then a TIV for $?.?? amount of money. The one that was correct was always the higher amount.

Also, I didn't know GC takes in PC games.

I called to confirm on the PS2 & DS copies, $2 TIV. That could have been a gold mine though, nice find.

I had a GC manager tell me that I could only trade-in 1 copy per game. period. I thought GC's policy was 2 per game per day. Can anyone confirm?

Traded a Pipemania for $10 after MVP today - thanks guys! Without this thread I would have never known the game traded for so much or was available so cheap at GS. They only had one new copy at GS (and no used) so it is a somewhat limited opportunity for me as these things usually are. Still, it was better than most things other people seem to be able to do 5-10 of (usually I can't find any of the game in question).

Now I need to do my usual "checking of my last recept to see if the balance is correct" after going to GC for the first time in several weeks. Sorry Scorch, but I just don't totally trust the people at GC to leave my balance alone ;).

I also noticed that Dragon Quest IV for the DS was just $19.99 new which seems like a good deal to me. I got it upon release but I know Fry's still sells it for $40.

Are you guys getting The Bigs on clearance at Target or is it just a regular cheap price? I got the 360 version on clearance ($5 each for 2 copies after the coupon) last week but have not seen the PS3 version on clearance there.

Not at mine, haha. I've been there a few times after they've gotten stock in, and it's still abysmal. They did get a bunch of Assassin's Creed LE for $30 though. I missed out on one the first time they dropped, so I was excited about that.

I would assume regular HWV stores won't go crazy with the early hours because to most people that isn't a BF destination. That is where the action will be for us, though, anyway (with the $4.99 used game sale).

Is there some sort of special Black Friday coupon for Gamecrazy though? Some guy was buying a Wii when I was in there this evening and he wasn't sure what games to get and was going to hold off and the guy told him he will want to wait to use the "special Black Friday coupon" that he would give him. Now of course I want to know what that is!

There is an actual coupon on the ad for both the B2G1 and $20 discount on Guitar Hero 5.

I'd be very surprised if you actually needed them though.

Yeah, the guy made him seem special for having bought the Wii (psst - here's a super-secret coupon only for you!). I guess it was just good salesmanship. However, I had asked the other guy if there were any sales going on and he said there will be some for BF but didn't bother to mention what they were or give me a coupon - and this is one of the regulars that is pretty friendly with me usually. No biggie - if it is just for those 2 items I have no need, really.
 
Also, I aim to finish the DS TIV's by this weekend in order to uncover a few flips (not that I get any credit for it). I will ask again for those other Iphone users to see if they can do PSP, PS2, Xbox 360, Wii, or PS3. A simple way of finding flips is to go to GS site, and sort by price. Then just go down the list. Anyway, take care everyone.

The $18.99 promos are always, always, always only for new games, but it never says anything about it. It's weird. Our paperwork shows new games only, but the ads never say new games only.

I think people ask because other people offerred to check the Iphone App for them.
 
I just noticed that next week they have a 30% bonus TIV. Along with GS B2G1 free sale, if everyone waits until next week to trade in some games, we could do some real serious damage.

Is this the same 30% bonus if you trade towards AC2/L4D2 or something else?
 
I hope that my GC will take multiple copies of Pipe Mania. 4 copies for $36 + $10.80 for 30%. For about $10, I would be able to get 6 games using the B1G1. Depending on if they take 4 copies and if they even have anything worth the B1G1.
