Also, When I was there today, I forgot to ask about returning a game to GameCrazy when purchased with the 30% bonus TIV. It does not seem right to return it. Can Scorch or another GC employee state the policy? Thanks!
 
There are no notifications as to when the Punch-Out sale is over, but if the past few sales have been any indication, it'll end around this Tuesday or Wednesday.

There are no specific guidelines as far as returning a game that you got with 30% more in trades. It follows the same standard 7 day unopened policy.

Every company has loopholes and/or glitches.

Look at how BestBuy handled the B2G1 thing? They didn't. And they probably lost alot because of it.

Yes, but a glitch is a temporary thing, and a loophole will continue to bleed.
 
It's not that big of a deal. Either way, the company moves a $60 product. You won't get cash back, of course, but the company posts the same amount of revenue either way, no matter what $60 game you get.

I see your point, and the same could be said for any promo. However, I have in the last few weeks traded in games (towards promo titles) that consistantly gave me .34 cash to credit ratio and traded in much more than double the price of the promo title. They can't be making money off of this transaction especially when I am trading in high margin trades (pipe mania , etc.) Additionally, it just works out that GC will give you a 30% boost indiscriminately because they have one of these promos running nearly continuously. Will all consumers use this loophole? Probably not and I personally won't, but it seems worth consideration. Perhaps the tiered GameStop bonus trades work the same way. I don't know, but what I recall of theirs, when you trade in towards a title, it is limited to two or three trades. You can't get a boost on trading in 10 titles in the transaction and walking away with a game and extra credit.

Again, this is a policy that alone will probably not cause the demise of GameCrazy, but it can't help.

It does boost loyalty in my case however.

I don't know what to do. There are still a bunch of Pipe Manias by, atleast six stores, but I feel so guilty. I have already traded 4 copies, and have one more sitting on my desk.
 
Honestly at this point, you have two options:

A) Feel guilty

or

B) Grab a bunch of Pipe Manias, trade them in for a profit, buy stuff that you want and feel guilty.

You'll feel guilty either way.

Option B is nicer though.

I wish I had a Target in my town. T^T

$14 without MVP- and while it may not seem like it's worth it, keep in mind if you hold off until BF to trade it in, you'll get $18.20 for it (assuming it doesn't drop before then). :D

Yes..it goes both ways. You can trade at either and use the credit at both places. I have been flipping/trading to GC to get MVP and other tradein bounses, 30% bump etc. and saving it for the Thanksgiving $5 sale at HWV.

I wish I had known this earlier. I would have flipped Space Chimps to HWV and stepped five steps over to GC to use the credit. >_>;

I CAN do that, right? Because I WILL be doing that this afternoon if I can... :p

It's my experience that only HWV's without a GC attached to them will buy or sell used games. Otherwise they tell you to go next door.

Is Guitar Hero: Metallica (360) still $22 for TIV? If so, Target's got it on clearance for $15, would make a nice little flip with coupon and on BF.

Sadly, no. It's $12 for 360 and PS3, and $15 for Wii w/out MVP. :/ Still, if you can find two Wii copies with the coupon, you can get $5 off each, pay $20, and get $39 on BF, assuming the TIV holds up.

Ah- that was certainly a best-case scenario thing. :p Assuming the $12 TIV for 360/PS3 hold up, you could get ~$32 on BF... Not as great as the previous flip, but it's still money. XD

This is like the third time Infinite Undiscovery has been $4.99 or $9.99. My store still has some. I didn't sell any the last time it was that cheap. Trust me, it won't be sold out.
 
I went by my local Game Crazy after my mid-term today, and found they actually had some sales going on. Here's what I found:

Guitar Hero: World Tour WITH GUITAR (Wii)- $29.99
Madworld- $19.99
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 (Wii)- $29.99
Fight Night Round 4 (360 and PS3)- $29.99
F.E.A.R. 2 (360 and PS3)- $19.99
Heroes Over Europe (PS3)- $19.99
Guitar Hero: Metallica (360, unsure about PS3)- $29.90
Guitar Hero: Smash Hits (360, unsure about PS3)- $29.90

Those might not be the only ones on sale- those were just the ones with Sale stickers on them. Notice how GHM and GHSH are $29.90, though? They were priced like that on purpose, according to the manager. Those are signs that they're going to be pulled off the shelf on Black Friday. I'm not sure about any other titles- I didn't have time to check the other ones. And the sales are nothing spectacular by any means... Just in case anyone is interested. :]

actually it was brought up by the DM of the So Cal stores. Apparently one of our managers noticed a huge amount coming in and cut off all the trades for those 2 games. Our DM knows and i wouldn't be surprised if it was cut off soon. Thank god, too many fucking idiots around here.

Unfortunately, GH:M tanked to $9.60 (base).
