Grats to everyone who got those great deals. This past month has been AWESOME!!!! Between high value flips to the $10 target coupon, 30% trade boost and the 4.99 HWV sale, I came off like a bandit in the night! I spent about 100 bucks and have over $150 GC credit not to mention over 15 new games (including Borderlands, DragonAge , L4D2, Batman, DemonSouls to name a few). This was my best CAG month ever. Christmas shopping for friends and me done :):applause:

Indeed! I noticed this on the iPhone app - quite a discrepancy between 360 and PS3 on that one.

Some more trades from today that I got in at the last minute (for the 30% bump):

:wii: Mario & Sonic At The Olympics - $13 after 30% ($10 base)

Hopefully they have more trade-in value promos like that in the near future. GC promos for extra credit are few and far between (especially with no strings attached like this one) and when they don't run them I can usually get more at Gamestop with whatever promo they are currently running (and they nealry always have something). So it would seem to be in their best interest to keep them running in order to compete.

just got an email that game crazy is running a 3/$10 on all original used xbox games. you could get some great flippable titles like GTA:SA, GTA:III, and Halo 2 if you felt so inclined.

And where would you be flipping these to? Gamestop hasn't accepted used xbox games for about a year. I can't imagine that Blockbuster's values would be high enough to profit. So that leaves, what, TRU or Amazon??

Excuse my ignorance, but Gazelle? o^o And keep in mind Amazon's trade-ins require the original box, manual, etc., so you would have to make sure they're ALL complete before you buy them.
 
I actually got some pretty amazing Xbox games for the 3 for $10. I was able to pickup a limited edition w/ steelbook Halo 2, limited edition w/ steelbook Doom 3, Knights of the Old Republic, Ninja Gaiden Black, & Burnout 3.
 
flipping as in selling on ebay or something. i'm sure the popular games still sell. in fact, i just had someone email me about my copy of san andreas today. there's still an interest out there.

Here's a TIV worth noting - $20 for GH:Van Halen on the 360 as of Black Friday. They were running 30% bonus credit, I actually got $26 for a game I got for free.

I'm pretty sure neither GC nor GS was supposed to take the promotional disc sent out for buying GH5 early... I think it's very YMMV. Still a nice TIV if you can get it to work.
 
Another GC disappeared today here, and I talked to the manager at another one (my home store) and he's getting another job and getting out because he thinks it's all crashing down. Just blew through $110 of credit today on impulse buys since my options might be getting limited, now I just need to find a way to move my remaining $130 in credit out the door. If anyone has even flips to anywhere else, it'd be appreciated.

I guess I've just had sooo many bad experiences with movie tie-ins that I didn't give the Warriors the benefit of the doubt. I loved Chronicles of Riddick, but other than that there aren't too many memorable movie tie-in games that I would admit to have played let alone owned.

Worse case couldn't you put credit on a gift card and use it at movie gallery or HWV. Unless you mean that the whole company will go out. In that cause, you would just need to spend it.

I've got it on gift card currently, but I've seen about 6 Hollywood Video's close in the past month or two, and another 5-6 Game Crazy's close in the past month or so. With the recent string, it has the employees second guessing that they are all going under here. With that, I'm not going to chance it and I'm going to try to use up my credit.

The Warriors was/is an awesome game. Rockstar did a damn good job with it. I loved it years ago...and when my sister gave me her old PS2 its the first game I went out and bought. Still play it, I wish they would remake it for todays graphics..


And I got the email also about the B1G1 deal. But what games do they have that's worth $18.99?

Hmmm, still not getting any emails from GC. Anyhow to answer the above, if you haven't played some of the Lego titles, they're worth sub $10 price....or maybe that's just me. I like them and it's a great price for these.

What they show in the email (ultimate alliance, gh aerosmith, etc.) is about it. I went to the store when they were doing it during Black Friday and they had a pretty underwhelming assortment of games. Although if they are still doing the prince of persia deal that is probably the best/newest game you can expect to find.

Most of lego games, Call of Juarez (the original), Mercs 2, Alone in the Dark, other games.
 
I've never understood why the 18.99 price point on NEW games. Why not make it $25 and under and get some fresh titles in there. It seems to me that they have been trying to get rid of the same NEW titles since the summer.

A pretty good 9.99 game to get is 007: Quantum of Solice its a generic fps thats based on the COD engine and I think its pretty good once u get used to the controls (which I guess the MAG controls seemed to be familiar to this game) and for you trophy collectors theres trophies through an update (the case doesnt say it has trophies) consider this game the closests to a decent spiritual successor to golden eye on 64

I got that game from Best Buy a long time ago when they were doing there $10 game sell. Cool thing is that I also got a free t-shirt with it when I got it. I liked it, but I think it ripped off the rainbow six vegas games. But still a good game all the same.

I don't know about everyone else, but I actually enjoyed the first call of juarez. At that time it was probably the best old western current gen game on the market when in comparison with gun. Haven't played the second one yet but I want to get it when it drops to the $10-$15 range.
 
So, I've got to say I both love and hate this thread.

I've lurked for ever but just signed up for the forums today.

I'm a store manager of a GameCrazy and I've never really frowned upon people flipping games, I get what they're doing and it usually doesn't bother me. I do however limit people to 2 copies per title in my store and all of my employees are to do the same.

Unfortunately, because some people like to take advantages of these flips and some GCs do not enforce the rules they should it seems that flips aren't going to be posted anymore, which is a damn shame.

Unfortunately I don't really have time to do all the work to see what's flippable and it was nice for the short time to have a quick go to place.

Maybe I'll get lucky and flips will start getting posted until then, but until then I'll try to find some on my own.

In the mean time, Xbox360 - Madden 09 - En Espanol currently has a base trade value of *drum roll* $20.63.

Yes, Madden 09. Guys, please don't go crazy, but I'm sure you can find the game quite easily on clearance.
 
I'm one of the persons to post flips, and will do so in the future, but once christmas is over. I'm not taking advantage of GC by fliipping 9 copies or anything stupid. If it goes away by then, oh well.

I have never seen madden in espanol ever. Anywhere. So I don't see how this will be taken advantage of.
 
Madden 09 En Espanol is something I've seen in great quantities available in the southwest, so maybe it's a regional thing. It's not worth it for a flip right now however as it's been sitting around for long enough that most of the stockpiles have cleaned up and I'm not in the game of building GC credit unless they start having some sales. I'm concerned about the stability of the company to load up on any more credit as I've got $130 to burn currently.
