selling--is paypal instant?

when someone pays with paypal, do you have to wait days for it to register, or can u trust it when it shows money there?

Paypal is instant and I have not had a single problem using it in conjunction with ebay. Nobody has ever filed for a chargeback on me.

So get a personal account instead of business/premier and accept only non-credit card or debit card payments. That way you can't get charged back since it applies only to credit cards.

If you sell only to someone with a confirmed address you're protected against chargebacks.
