CAGiversary!
Well, it looks like Games for Windows is now having a "Deal of the Week". This post will be updated as more information is available.

Week of September 30th

Red Faction: Guerrilla -- http://www.microsoft.com/games/en-US/Games/Pages/redfactionguerrilla.aspx
Purchase options:
- $9.99 (usually $19.99)
- 700 MS Points (usually 1360 (I think?))

- thanks to darkandlong for getting the MS Points sale price

Old Deals

Week of September 2nd

Where's Waldo? The Fantastic Journey -- http://www.microsoft.com/games/en-us/GAMES/Pages/whereswaldo.aspx
Purchase options:
- $3.75 (usually $14.99)
- 1400 MS Points (not sure what it usually is -- only shows the current price)

Week of September 9th

** Note **
The pricing for this deal seems a bit odd. The DotW page shows a sale price of $14.99, but the GFWL client is showing $19.99. Maybe the US price is actually 14.99?

Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War II -- http://www.microsoft.com/games/en-US/Games/Pages/dawnofwarII.aspx
Purchase options:
- $14.99 (or $19.99??) (usually $29.99)
- 1400 MS Points (not sure what it usually is -- only shows the current price)

Week of September 16th

Blacklight: Tango Down -- http://www.microsoft.com/games/en-US/Games/Pages/blacklighttangodown.aspx

Week of September 23rd

Borderlands -- http://www.microsoft.com/games/en-US/Games/Pages/borderlands.aspx
Purchase options:
- $7.49 (usually $29.99)
- 520 MS Points (usually 2160 (I think?))

** NOTE **
This is a "Games for Windows" title, but not "Games for Windows Live" -- i.e., no achievements. If you buy it, it is because you really want to play it!

This is my first GFW since my laptop isn't really for gaming. I was slightly interested in this game when I saw it at Walmart for Wii, but it was a bit much for $30. When I looked at the screen shots, I thought it was a mini-game collection. It turns out this game is actually a half-decent Where's Waldo experience. Navigation is a bit of a chore since you have to click and drag around the page and it's kind of odd that you get a zoomed in view of the scene without the ability to zoom in/out. Still, it's not bad for $4 since those Where's Waldo? books usually cost like $10-20. It's pleasantly nostalgic... with achievements that adds to your gamerscore!

i got this game for XBLA, i honestly thought it was equivalent to a flash game on any online game site

JC2 isnt GFWL, so wait for it on steam (it's been $24) or d2d... maybe still will have a bigger one for the holiday sale (then there's all those dlcs)

i got blackhawk... too bad nobody else i know did
(think it ties key to game like section8, if you were looking for that one gfwl 'feature')

i got it from impulse instead of the gfwl store, same price

there's a sequel at the earliest summer 2011, it was announced at the release of the first game back in june
I got GFWL deal on Batman AA last Jan or Feb, I'm hoping for a Just Cause 2 deal.
Check RFD or other online trading forums, people keep selling their free Steam codes from videocard purchases. I got JC2 for like 12 bucks.

So with the BL:TD deal, does anyone know the payment options for Windows Live Games? Also do you have to use their servers or is there a possibility to do over Steam? Sorry noob at this.

i'd wait for steam sale again for borderlands, so you can get the dlcs on sale as well.... (or a nice goty sale for the holidays)

Next deal is now available -- "Red Faction: Guerrilla".

Could somebody post the amount of MS Points this will cost during the sale so I can update the main post? I purchased it a while back, and now it won't show me the sale price (all I see is the "Downlaod" option).
