Sesame Street has a liberal bias

Brainwashing works best on children, obviously. Get them started young to believe what you think and it takes a whole lot of work to reverse it.

Agreed.

Also, pediatricians want children to watch no more than 60 minutes of TV a day.

"Sorry, Zach, you have to listen to the Twilight soundtrack."

"Sorry, Caitlyn, it is time for Mom to read some more Harry Potter. You have to turn off the Disney Channel."

Considering there are so many good kids shows out there, can the brainwashing be effective if you only watch it once a week?

It's more likely that CNN or MSNBC do not rhyme with anything as easily.

If course the old rule applies-if you are going to look for bias, you will probably find it.

Did you think a show with homeless people and minorities would cater to the right?

Is it me or did all the liberal brainwashing conspiracy theories just pop up in the last year. I wonder what could've possibly brought this on?

If you're getting your panties in a bunch over this, you're the kind of person being parodied. It's a throwaway line.

If you want to get upset over something start with Creationist brainwashing. When they tell a kid he's going to hell because he doesn't believe in the literal interpretation of Christian mythology. People in the US are so stupid we can't even get a US release of the Darwin movie.

I'd like to see more incidents of this before I make the conclusion that Sesame Street has a liberal bias. I understand you probably wrote the thread title the way you did so people would click on it. But like I said, one incident isn't indicative of a 'bias'.

For example, it wouldn't be fair of me to say 'rabbitt is a fucking idiot.' I would have to see you repeatedly create stupid threads like this one before coming to a reasonable conclusion.

aw fuck don't tell me we got poe's law'd. fuck. I've done it to people like, twice on these forums. Ah well, nice job bro lol.

Oh lord..... this is clearly your favorite subject, as you manage to find a way to insert it into every thread.

What are you some kind of creationist of something

;)

Most everyone with a working brain knows Fox News is biased. They've even been caught making stuff up about their competition.

I shouldn't have said all the conspiracy theories but they seem to get way more press now. Every time I pause on Faux News, they're calling down fire and brimstone on another liberal for indoctrinating our children against the ills of socialism.

Did anyone else notice that this episode of Sesame Street aired two years ago? Isn't it a little late to get all pissy about it? Obviously, not one conservative saw it so what's the problem?

Hardly. But I certainly don't try to blame all the worlds ills on religion at every turn. ;)

You should, it works well.

Whenever I get around to applying for my official "Progressive" application, I will. I'll have to, it's a requirement.

Well, someone has to do it.
They're certainly not going to bash socialism on the Communist News Network.
They only bash vast Right Wing conspiracies there along with the My Socialist New Bolshevic Channel.

Or the People's Brainwashing Station!

Faux is old for Fox though, it needs something new. Fantastically Outrageous Xenophobe News? X is hard, it kind of works, but they don't have Lou Dobbs. The F could be better too. Ferociously?

The OP apparently has his own bias...This thread is really dumb, obviously started by a sensitive republican

It's funny because it seems like you don't even watch CNN. I'll give you MSNBC as a liberal station but CNN seems to report right down the middle.

Let's take health care reform.

CNN reported both sides of the issue. The acknowledged the CNB report and gave pros and cons for BOTH sides of the issue. They even had people come on and argue against it.

Fox News basically said the bill was socialist trash and we should all flood our representative's offices with phone calls, emails, and telegrams. I never saw one person on the network that claimed the bill could work.

Let's talk about the recent march on Capitol Hill.

MSNBC went on and on about how Boehner read from the Declaration of Independence and called it the Constitution.

CNN had a small blurb about the Boehner snafu and went on to report about the real story.

Fox just went on and on about America was going to sweep out socialism and win Congress in 2010 and the White House 2012 because of the "activism" that was shown at Capital Hill last week.

Let's get back to PBS. We all know that PBS depends on sponsors and viewers to survive. They get very very little advertising money so they have to cater to their sponsors.

If PBS has been around for decades and continues to show great programming for kids and adults, why should they completely change what they do?

Do you think they would get the same amount of money for shows called, Let's Go Huntin' or Strip Mine Sunsets?

PBS is about two things the right are very antagonistic about, nature and science.
