Sharp Aquos 52" LCD TV $1900 (or less) @ CC!

Right now the Sharp Aquos 52" LCD (model LC52D64U) is on sale at Circuit City for $2,000. Currently, there is also an online coupon that gets you an extra $100 off.

When I tried to enter the coupon online, it wouldn't work, so I called the 800 number to order (and explain that the code wasn't working), and the lady told me she had a coupon for $200 off that I could use instead. So I got the TV for $1889.99 AFTER tax. Not bad.

Has Sharp fixed the banding issue already?

I think this particular model has the potential for the vertical banding issue, but I have not noticed it on mine so far. Plus, when you pick it up in the store, you get a 30-day time period to return it if you get one with the banding.

The newer models I think have fixed it, but they cost about $3500. Doesn't seem worth it to me, especially when the specs are near-identical.
