So I'm moving to Japan at the end of December, and with the amount of CAG's living there already, I was hoping someone might be able to help me. I've been trying to find some sort of luggage shipment service to transport my luggage from Narita to my apartment in Nagoya, avoiding trying to carry two huge suitcases on the train during New Year's traffic. If anyone can offer any suggestions from services they've used, or even ideas of where I can find more information, I'd appreciate it.

Tell them they lost your luggage and then the airport or airline normally ships it to you. Atleast thats how it was when I worked at a hotel. We would get peoples luggage shipped to us and when I would take it up to their room they would tell me how "Blah blah blah, lost my luggage, blah blah blah, heres 5 bucks."
