You're right. I drop boxes into the post office quick drop all the time. These boxes range anywhere from 10 ounces to 5+ lbs and I've never gotten one note about it. I've asked the clerks and they said that it doesn't matter either. Same goes games with bubbles mailers. I always use the quick drop unless I have to ship something internationally and go up to the clerks.
