Awesome, thanks for the head's up, OP! Purchased! I still have the vanilla version sealed, guess that one will be heading to my eBay listings.

Trade in or sell vanilla for whatever you can get (amazon is at $8.70 ATM)

I'd argue the DLC is worth $20, but that's just my opinion.

Exactly what I'm going to do with my sealed vanilla copy.

Wondering this too...any idea how long the sale will go?

Damn, perfect price too! I really shouldn't even get it since I haven't beat Fallout 3. I'll wait but I'll get it eventually. I'm sure it'll be $20 again.

I'd be all over this....If I didn't have so many 40+ hour games that I haven't even played yet in my backlog.

Concerning the Utlimate Edition: Out of the 4 DLC missions, only 2 (Dead Money and Honest Hearts) are kinda meh. The other 2 are fantastic, the level cap jumps to 50, and you get bonus weapons/armor for free at the start.

I have the PS3 version, and yes, I had freezing/slowdown issues every so often. (especially the deeper into it you get/the longer time you play consecutively). It'll never be fixed, so take that as a warning. Didn't stop me from putting nearly a hundred hours into the game. I just love this series.

wow that was fast, what 3 hours or so?

As I added the Skyrim information to the OP, it says the the :360: version is sold out too. Talk about selling out even faster.

I'm hoping they'll do a restock with a third party vendor as they have in the past in similar circumstances during a sale

... And it's gone.

Kinda glad, had New Vegas stayed in stock I probably would have picked it up, even though I probably wouldn't get around to playing it for 8+ months at the earliest.

As the self proclaimed biggest Fallout Fan in the multiverse, I'll give you my honest assessment of the New Vegas DLC. Some spoilers to follow

Dead Money
Dead Money would have been a waste of money if I wasn't one of the lucky people who got it free (or was it 100 points?) when it first went up with the wrong price.
Dead Money strips you of all your weapons, money, and armor and pits you up against enemies that can't be killed by normal means. You have to dismember them. To make things worse, the environment is covered with a poison gas that saps your hp, and because it's present in the outdoors, you can't sleep or rest in any bed outdoors to recover your health. And you can't buy items unless you find their respective schematic somewhere in the DLC. And even then, you don't use bottlecaps, you use an exclusive DLC currency. Think of it as disney money.

You're also equipped with a bomb collar. If you get too close to a loudpseaker or radio, your collar will begin to detonate. You have to then either run out of range of the device, or find and disable it. Now you only have a few seconds to find the device before the collar blows your head off. And to make things more fun they always hide the devices and usually surround them with things like the above mentioned poison gas, and the enemies who you need to dismember to kill.

Other fun deathtraps are the holograms. They fire powerful energy based lasers, and they can't be killed or knocked out. The only thing you can do is either avoid them, or find their emitters and destroy them. But like the speakers and radios above, the emitters are always well hidden and surrounded by things that want to kill you.

To top it all off, at the end of the DLC you're presented with a huge treasure trove of gold bars, but you can't escape with more than a few of them before the casino blows up, taking you with it if you were trying to take too much gold.

Basically Dead Money is a huge thankless deathtrap without any redeeming characteristics whatsoever

Honest Hearts
This one is definitely a step up from the previous one. You're not stripped of all your gear before you go in, but there's a limit on what you can take. The DLC is fairly straight forward with two factions you can choose to support. They're not opposing factions, just different sides of the same coin. One guy wants to stay and fight the invading tribes and the other prefers to make an escape to a safe location.

Unlike Dead Money, this DLC isn't something that was just designed to punish you repeatedly. It's fairly easy but unfortunately pretty forgettable and somewhat short.

Old World Blues
Old World Blues is my favorite DLC from ANY Fallout game. You're taken prisoner by disembodied brains and have your own brain, spine, and heart removed and replaced by mechanical ones. The brains want you to hunt down their enemy (also a brain) and destroy him because he's evil.

The DLC is full of old school slapstick and it's pretty fun. It's harder than Honest Hearts but only because there are certain enemies, robo scorpions, that are pretty tough to kill and come in packs, but they tend to only really show up in scripted events.

The DLC also includes a really cool new home base for you with gadgets for healing you, places to store things, a garden to harvest ingredients, a workbench, a merchant, and a toaster bent on world domination.

Also the DLC includes the most kick ass Fallout weapon ever, the Super heated Saturnite Fist.

OWB is definitely worth playing.

Lonesome Road
Unfortunately, Lonesome Road is again a step down. It's completely linear, no real choices to make. You're supposed to learn some groundshaking info about your character but it turns out to be a lame plot device.

There are some annoying enemies that can dig in the ground and come up behind you, but for the most part, there was nothing really worth mentioning about the DLC

It means they restocked it. It was sold out before.

EDIT: Those must've been cancelled orders, as I tried to add FO UE and told me it was sold out.
