Heard they were planning to make this film a few years ago but I figured this would be destined to stick in development hell.

Looks a lot better than I expected. Now I just hope they don't up the character. Though Conan always gets the recondition when it comes to Howard (and Conan does deserve any props it receives), I always thought Solomon Kane and Bran Mak Morn had the cooler back stories.

I hope this movie is good. He seems to be missing his puritan hat which is the way he's usually seen in the comics. James Purefoy is a good actor so there is hope for this film.

whats the story on this character ? kinda looks like a better van helsing mixed in with some lord of the rings but i cant nail down where or when its set ( time period/location). could be good i guess but i cant get much from that trailer.

thanks for the link. sounds like it could be cool ( got kind of an alex quartermain thing going with the whole african guy giving him something powerful) i just wonder if it will be an r rated or pg13 film. are the comics and stories violent?
