Deus Ex: IW, Max Payne 2, Mafia, and Manhunt are steals for that price.. especially Deus Ex: IW. It's great, so is the first one!

Nice post, some really good ones in that mix. A few of them are ones I've wanted (mildly) for awhile... I'm pretty sure some of these have dropped fairly recently. If Tenchu had been $8 a few weeks ago when I ordered Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory I would have ordered it along with the new game instead of Van Helsing.

Manhunt is sick and freaky but in a good way. I enjoyed it. You get to play with the headset on with the guy talking in your ear saying "I need more murder" and he is kind of getting off on you killing people.

I don't care what kind of secret mission you are on, this game really blows and I am pretty forgiving when it comes to racing games. I can corner well about 50% of the time. The other 50%, I have no clue why I wipe out. There is no rhyme or reason to the physics engine, it is completely random. And to think such a cool looking game got wasted on such travesty gameplay.

it plays like a dream...a dream where you are robotically walking around and extremely slow in climing up and down any staircases in your path.

For a pc adventure, it works adequetely on the xbox, it has pretty enough prerendered backdrops, decent puzzles, but does nothing to advance the genre. The story and acting is good. Ive always liked adventure games, so it was fun, but wouldnt be near any of the greats of old, or even more recent ones like sanitarium.
Additionally, it is only the first half of the story, and continues in the equally cheap and equally decent syberia ii
 
Also, why is it so fashionable to hate on DX:IW? I thought it was great; the graphics, music, sounds, rag-doll physics, storyline... it was a really good game.
 
DX:IW is hated on because the game's dev budget was focused on the Xbox version and so the PC version wasn't as polished as it should have been. Since DX 1 was a great PC game this caused a lot of the "hardcore" fanbase it had to start the hating, despite the fact that the Xbox version IS good.

Essentially it became a poster child for the trend of eroding PC gaming for the more lucrative grounds of the consoles.
